  1. I downloaded it an played with it a bit. Not bad. Of course, now I come up with a bunch of "good ideas."

Is there a plan to make it so that each shot will be downloaded as opposed to just the total time?

Also, is there the possibility that a person could create a drill or some other event on their computer and download it to the app?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

You can send individual shots to the application but holding down the light and the rev button until the feedback beep sounds. This will transmit all the shots you have fired to the app and you can export directly from that screen. Note that you can make text comments on each shot fired.

At the moment you can only create drills within the application.

    Thanks,

    Eli.

    Eli,

All of the above is great information. By doing as you suggested (light button + review) all the shots come in, and the ability to sort works well. This is really a good combination of timer and software...thanks!

  3. Eli,

Any idea when applications that will allow transfer of data from the SHOTMAXX to a phone/tablet will be available? I'd be happy to be a tester for any programs that come along.

I used it this weekend and really like it, once the ability to save info comes along it will be a really valuable training tool.

I have a Matt Mink customized TS for sale as well. 5 mags and a holster too. I bought it new and have put about 700 rounds through it.

  4. The EAR custom fitted plugs really stop the noise. It is remarkable. They deaden the noise so much that I can't carry on a regular conversation with them. I haven't tried electronic muffs plus the plugs that may be a good combo.

What I do now is use muffs for walking around the range and SO/ROing. When I'm on deck I put in the plugs for my turn at bat. If you have a flinch because of noise the EAR plugs will go a long way toward fixing that.

NOTE: not an EAR rep, just a satisfied customer.

  5. I just figured out that my Blade Techs (more than one) aren't in accordance with the USPSA rules. When I called to ask about it I was told that I could buy a replacement Dropped and Offset part that would make the holster legal.

I purchased replacement parts and still like Blade-Tech's stuff... but, it frustrates me a bit that I would have to purchase a part that was manufacuted incorrectly.

  6. One of our members posted (and continutes to post) pictures to CASA's facebook page. If you're a facebook subscriber search for CASA Range and you'll find them. Also there are a number of videos of the stages at http://youtube.com/wchangose (abliet mostly CASA members).

I need to get a couple plaques out to people, get the classification bumps entered into the big IDPA computer, and we'll try to post the scores in html format so you can see how you did by stage.

Let me know if there's anything else.

  7. Central Arkansas Shooter's Association (casarange.com) is proud to host the 2012 Arkansas State IDPA Championship on May 19, 2012, at our range just west of Little Rock, AR.

This match will consist of at least 10 stages (probably 12) and the round count will be close to 200. Match will be limited to 175 shooters (including staff members).

We'll shoot it all in one day. Shooter's meeting at 0745, match starts at 0800.

Attached is the entry form. More details and updated info will soon be on the casarange.com website.

    See you in May!

  8. I only had time to do this drill once, but between the original and part 2 "secret sauce" I cut just over 1 second from my time.

I shot a USPSA match this weekend trying the technique and interestingly thought I was going really slow. Genuinely I was upset at myself. When I watched some of the match stages on video it seemed as though my splits were quite a bit faster than prior matches and I was as or maybe slightly more accurate than usual.

I guess the next step is to practice this enough so that it's not a new technique, but instead, just the way I shoot.

    Thanks BE
