  2. Hi all.

Sorry for reviving an old thread.....

What did he have to say?

I was active in the early 90's. In fact, we had a So Cal Based Tuning shop for Practical Shooting....

I remember Carrying all the high tech Carbon Fiber Scope mounts for TZ/P9. In fact, I have a 9x21 sitting in the safe with the Tasco Mount... It had all the WCPI parts, Hammer, trigger, sear.. Slide stop...

That's would be great for him to make a comeback......

  3. I have one from www.boostervision.com I use on my RC aircraft and also mounted it in a set of ear muffs. It's only $70 but it's only RX/TX you have to have a camcorder first.

Blow your budget and buy a CONTOURHD... $275 for a totally self-contained unit that shoots over an hour of high definition footage. Small too.

I used an Oregon scientific and motocomm unit first. Wish I hadn't wasted my time.

    Got some vids at:

    MemphisMechanic,

Nice camera... Really has me interested...

    How did you mount it?

  4. Hello All,

I have been offered a deal on a G17L, but I am told it will not fit in the 'box' for production competitions. What disciplines is it legal for? Should I just spend more and get a G34? Someone said a G35 will accept other barrels to swap calibers.... any truth to this and should it be avoided?

Thanks in advance for helping a noob.

    -AC

If you like the pistol for what it is, shoot it anyway. I believe you will be in Limited / Minor

I use a G35 in Limited with .40 and with 9mm barrel conversion (cost savings, Limited/Minor)

  5. I like hat cam angle but it still gets a little boring after a while. I am also not a huge fan of picture in picture. I think you get the best results by combining the 1st and 3rd person views. It takes a bit more work, but I think the result is more entertaining to look at.

    SSLAV,

I do like the cut scene, it does give the vid an overall professional look. And you are right, a bit more work to make it look good.

Notice how after you shot the stage, it felt like you were soooooo slooooow then watching first person, not so much.???

  6. A few of us come over from Vegas to shoot Norco. I had no idea you were that close. Now we can shoot on Sat & Sun in SoCal!! See you in January!!

Can you say Addict? LOL I'll look around for hotels in the area, there are some new ones in town for you guys to stay.

    I'm the same way brother!!!

Speaking of Vegas, we where about to go to Vegas to shoot with Ray at American Shooters this Tuesday. Unfortunately, the next Tuesday night match is January.

Maybe we will see you there...

  7. It looks like I'll be back in SD the week of 1/11 - 1/15.

What kind of match will there be that week on Thursday? Jason, you going to do that one?

Theo, I appreciate the info about bringing hi-cap mags to CA if for a match. Would there be a problem if I was to bring a second gun (with mags) for a coworker there in CA to shoot Thursday?

I am psyched! I've only shot once since August when I busted up my leg.

Edrick, I looked for you. I even grabbed the clipboard for a while so I could look through names but I never saw yours. Or did I talk to you and forget? I am terrible with names..just ask my wife whats-her-name.

Ari, you going to make it up there on the 14th? Want to hit the range one night before that to practice?

    Mike,

It was a big group, remember we where split on two clipboards? We may have spoken with each other and not know it... hahaha My buddy Brian and I came down. I shot with a Limited Glock 35 . We have some vids, i'll post them up..

We'll see you again. Perhaps we'll meet before or after the match. Brian and I ate at the Historic Cafe 101 on PCH. Cool Place.

  8. That's why I like my posercam, mounted to the bill of my baseball hat.

Back when all I had was a handheld DVD Handycam, I would bring a ladder to the matches and record from way back behind the shooting line. I got tired of just standing on the ground and catching video of mainly the RO/SO's and scorekeeper's backs.

I totally agree! Our version of the hat cam, alittlebit improvised, does work and will eliminate any "crashing"

BTW I dig your Beretta! I shoot 92FS in Production also..

    Great training tool also.
