  1. I made "Master" at the Commonwealth Cup a few years ago. I had the best match I ad ever had that day. However, I usually shoot "expert" scores. I seriously doubt I could shoot a "Master" classifier. I plan on shooting the Carolina Cup this year, and I will be competing as a "Master". I have no illusions of placing, much less winning anything. But, shooting against folks that are better than me tend to help me get better though.
  2. I gave it a try and I'm happy with the results. I used 50/50 vinegar and water. I let the brass sit for about 5 minutes and stirred frequently. I used a 3-1 mixture of baking soda and water next. I also let them set for about 5 min. and stirred frequently. I then rinsed well with clean water and put a town to dry. the brass was shiny and new looking, although it still had some powder fowling in the primer pocket and inside the case.
  3. I plan on cleaning brass with a method I heard about. I’m planning on using a 50/50 solution of plain white vinegar and water first. Than a solution of Baking Soda and water to further clean the brass while neutralizing the acid of the vinegar. Then a final cleaning with 100% water. Anyone else ever try this? I have a few question though. What should the baking soda solution be, 50/50 like the vinegar? After the final wash (with clean water), should I allow the brass to air dry or is there another option?
  4. Now thats funny. Hey, are you by chance hypoglycemic or anything like that? Nope... I have a bad case of ieattoomuchcrapites....
  5. Awww shucks Seth, your just say'n that... I tell ya.... of all the bad things I have said about you... I take half of them back...lol
  6. I wonder what kind of enlisting bonuses they are offering to short, fat, bald, lazy guys? I guess they could just give me a pistol and a chair. I could shoot all the bad guys that happen to walk by...lol
  7. So, in the last 4 months I have packed on around 15 pounds. I'm 5'8" and I weigh 225. I work two jobs and usually eat unhealthy (fast food) because I feel like I don’t have time to cook/pack a meal. I’m tired of feeling run down. I have got to make some serious changes. So today is the day. None of that "New Years Resolution" crap. I’m gonna start making changes now. I’m sure others have been in similar situations. How did you start?
  8. Okay... now I understand the responses...
  9. What is considered a "Full Length Dust Cover"?? The Reason I ask is, there was a discussion on here a while back about a "Kimber Custom TLE/RL II". The dust cover did not extend to the end of the pistol, so it was concluded that it was not a "Full Length Dust Cover". P.S. As I understand it, the TRP has a bull barrel, and is not legal, but some of the responses here mention the dust cover and the cover looks the same on the TRP as on the Kimber (or very similar at least). That was what spurred my question.
  10. I would have taken the SO up on the offer to chrono my loads and once PF was proven, demanded my re-shoot. Why your buddy didn’t do that is curious at the least. With all due respect, is it possible that he was worried he wouldn’t make PF, resulting in a DQ? A bad stage is still better than a DQ.
