  1. ok, so gonna bite the bullet and get one. But can I ask my fellow compatriots to share your positive experiences/recommendations ? Understand these are pricey and thats ok. I think I'm looking for: * Heater * Vibration * Drain plug * looks like Prologix is a good one-step solution but if you have another please share. If it helps Im an open shooter. Thanks! Jay
  2. Hi- Anyone know where I can get a quantity of bullet heads like 121 or 125 frangible ? Thanks!
  3. hiya- The Limcat anti-glare hood comes with these allen screws that are not threaded the same as the default c-more holes. Any thoughts ? thanks jay

  6. Anyone know of an IPSC-friendly range or otherwise for 200 rounds or so of practice for Wednesday 3/17 ? Around the match location or Dallas... thanks jay
  7. I have an arrendondo hood on my new MC gun. Quinn 2 mount. I dont have any match experience with it yet but it does impinge on the view a small amount bc it sticks out toward the cmore lense. you shouldnt be looking over there anyway but just so you know
  8. STI knows they have a problem. well, sort of. Some admit it others not. I dunno. But form this thread alone Id imagine its clear...
  9. Hi All- So I started the topic with my cracked STI aluminum small grip. Its a brand new gun. I have no more than 500 rounds through it. There are two cracks on either side of the grip above the mag catch. Starting from the top and moving down half way to the mag catch. Jay
  10. soo, had the small STI aluminum grip fit to a new gun and bam - 1,000 rounds thru it the grip cracked in two places. Did some research and am finding that this is the case with others as well ? please share your stories...
  11. Folks For those of you following this thread. Dillon has isolated an issue with the shell plate and case plunger for 38 SC loading Starline. They have my machine and are working up a prototype plate. Ill know more soon. Dillon is doing a great job and responding to this. Jay
  12. Thanks Dillon for the research. Go figure that a small fix like this would do it. My machine is back to you under RMA 111743 with an enclosed letter - should have it in a few days.
  13. thanks Brass tilt not impacted by the grabbing effect noted above. This effect has been reduced dramatically with the use of Redding competition dies. The powder funnel and the crimping stations were doing this. so we are down to the brass tilt impact still. thanks Machine on the way back to Dillon for RMA repair.
  14. thanks Brass tilt not impacted by the grabbing effect noted above. This effect has been reduced dramatically with the use of Redding competition dies. The powder funnel and the crimping stations were doing this. so we are down to the brass tilt impact still. thanks
  15. wondering if you got anything....maybe ill send my machine back for you to look at
  16. Thanks. By way of update the autodrive connected and it rocks! cant believe more people dont use it. ill post a vid when i get a chance. One thought about the brass tilt (still happening). I have two stations that stick a bit (create vibration) that may be impacting the brass tilt situation. One is the powder funnel that creates the flair. The other is the last crimping station which I use a Lee die for. Becuase the machine grabs for just a moment at each of these stations one hypothesis is that this creates a little jump and prevents the case plunger from seating the empty brass properly. So, do you guys get the same grabbing effect at these two stations ? If the answer is no how do you properly flair and crimp on your machine ? Again: * New Starline .38 SC brass * KISS Thanks, Jay
  17. since posting this over two weeks ago seems like a lot of people fall into the same camp. Dillon and BE if you are monitoring, what you think ? Im still having this issue although its gotten a bit better with grinding the shell plate. Just put on the PW autodrive so well so how that helps with more steady pulls....
  18. Hi. i replaced the shell plate to no avail. went back to original plate and ground the shell holes so there were no sharp angles. Then polished them. Helped a bit. Basically I have the top half off and push brass in through the plunger. Shells dont reliably go into the holes in the shell plate when pushed in. Ive experimented with different heights of the shell plate. Im using new (never fired starline). The shell plunger does have a snap to it so I can go to the cutting of the spring route...
  19. #3 plate is .223 so we have the right plate for 38 sc. will look at the case feeder arm and let you know...thanks for the continued ideas
  20. +1 on the alignment tool - that will probably fix the jam, the polishing i tried on the original plate didnt help. but i ground the corners of the lower plate not the upper portion - did you do both ?
  21. Folks- Have a new Super 1050 wand got all to work sweet EXCEPT for every 8-10 rounds brass is either (1) jamming the shell plate when fed in or (2) fed on top of the shell plate. Starline NEW (never fired) brass. Unlubed. Seems to have Dillon baffled. Ive replaced virtually every part including the shell plate (#3). Ive adjusted the shell plate up and down in lots of positions and cant seem to make it go away. Im sure one of you brave souls have dealt with this. Thank you, Jay
  22. guys- thinking about this - any more feedback ?
