  1. thanks for the info. I know shotguns can be hard on red dots, so it might be best just to spend the money on a delta point or trijicon rather then sending a cheap on back all the time.
  2. I have been shooting open class for a year now without a dot. I plan on shooting some larger matches this summer so I think it time to put one on. a friend has an Insight technology MRD 7moa dot, that I can pick up pretty cheap. Is anyone using one, if so how has it held up?
  3. I did my own. The hardest part(for me since I dont have a mill) was cutting the dust cover. It does come in handy.
  4. There is so much great info on this site! Thanks to all you guys for taking the time to post your data.
  5. I like WOA, John is great to deal with and I've been extremely pleased with both their 18 & 20" barrels that I've got. Recently I've been playing with lighter 18" barrels for a new 3-Gun rifle so I put uppers together using the JP 18" 34 oz barrel and then I got a barrel from Loki Weapon Systems, their 18" double fluted barrel that weighs 30 oz and it's a tack driver. In fact I let a friend "borrow" the upper for a local match and the Nationals and he won't give it back now after shooting a 2.25" group at 300 - he even ordered a new 18" LWSF rifle from Loki. I've had a couple of the Loki 18" double fluted barrels and both have been accurate enough for me. Thats almost exactly what I have been looking for. Do you know if it can be ordered with a rifle length gas system?
  6. They are a nice barrel, Noveske makes an 18" barrel that is 9oz lighter but the price tag of $465 is kinda steep. I am surprised that other barrel makers are not producing a light contour 18" barrel.(in the 31-32oz range)
  7. First I would like to say thanks for all the great info on this site!! I have been shooting USPSA and lots of 3 gun for many years now. I have been lurking for a longtime and shoot with many of the guys on here from CO. Hope I can be a contributing member in the future Carey
  8. I have the AR Gold and really enjoy it, adjusting is super easy. Of course other than a standard trigger the only other thing I have owned is a RRA 2 stage. I am having the same optics debate right now. I have been using an ACOG for years now and want to switch to 1-4x. In the price range I want to stay in it looks like the MTAC is the way to go.
