Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. The same dilemma when I setup my Stock 2 because I shoot IPSC Production. The lightest hammer spring you can use with factory firing pin is 14 lbs but you have to use exclusively Federal Primers. Others like CCI, Winchester, Magtech, will not se toff. I have no problem with it until Federal became difficult to find here in the Philippines. So we were forced to manufacture extended firing pin as long as the EGW but can still retain the FP block. Get an extended FP and no problem with any primer. Now I use CCI. Since you can't reload use Federal Ammo exclusively. Hope this help.
  2. I installed a new trigger bar I bought from Henning, because it was broken. To my surprise the double action failed to release anymore while the single action releases if I put the gun in inverted position. I compared the trigger bar with the old one. I seams the part of the trigger bar that engages the interruptor is higher. The older old broken one has lower teeth. May I ask if I have to cut that part of the trigger bow until it releases? NO other part of the gun was touched or replaced. I'm wondering why it did not dropped in. Is there really a need for this part to be fitted or it should drop in? Please help. Thank you
  3. Cha-Lee> Thank you, now I'm more confident even with sloppy sear housing fit. I'm just wondering, is the oversized sear pin a little longer? I think if it is longer it will reduce the movement of the sear housing too.
  4. Cha-Lee> thank you for your suggestions. Actually I did all of the above but when I lightened the sear spring with corresponding adjustment with trigger spring, the hammer follows. Maybe I have cut the hammer hook too far (0.012) I cannot use EGW much that I wanted too because it is not legal for Production category IPSC. I noticed too that the sear is soft once it was polished.
  5. I'm not happy because I know I can improve it more to sub 2 lbs. The trigger pull is 2.7 lbs at present I'm using 14 lbs hammer spring and extended firing pin. I'm wondering what should be done with the sear to improve it. It is the only part I have not yet touched.
  6. Henning, I tried to modify the hammer of my Stock 2 and cut the hammer hook to .012 I did not touch the sear. I'm not happy with the result, the creep was reduced however. What should i do with the sear, should I reduce the angle of the sear? Please help.
  7. I have some reservations regarding this pins. Definitely the fitting of the sear to sear housing will be better but what can we do regarding the fitting of the sear housing and the frame. I noticed that the sear housing is not fitted tightly with the frame. If that is the case the sear will still move.
