Two kinds of dq's, those who have and those who will. It happened to all of us or will.

FYI for everyone shooting this match. I hope you all have your stockpile of slugs and buck shot. I bought the last of it from walk-mart in Edmond. There is none anywhere around here, I've called bass pro, h&h, sportsmans, academy and several other local gun shops 50 miles out. So good luck finding some, just thought you should know.

To me I just shoot at one and hold steady and let the other targets fall into your sights. Don't chase the targets, yes it's slower if you start at the top. Left or right doesn't matter much.

Josey, I'm not talking about what rule book says. The point is a shooter just shouldn't do it. I don't care if it's leagel or not. If you mess up chalk it up as a learning experiance. I shot a match last weekend where I hade gun problems and that's too bad for me. For me I guess better luck next month. I think a shooter like myself will sleep better at night knowing I did my best and that's it. -

I have to agree 100 percent. You know if you want to download classifier stages and set them up at you local club or at home, that's fine. I just don't see it fair to get to shoot over and over while noone else gets to. I have never done a reshoot unless it was a range failure. Reshoots will almost always bite you in the butt. I didn't realize this subject was so touchy, but I hear ya and I agree with most of you guys statments. I going to no longer care if everyone wants to grandbag as it doesn't affect me. I still say it's sad. -
I shot a classifier match this past weekend and I had a shooter ask to reshoot a stage. I told him no you can't do that. I was informed from a couple of different people that yes this was ok. I don't know about everyone else, but I will earn every classification that I get. I can't believe anyone would sit there and shoot the same stage over and over to perfect it. Has anyone heard of this travisty? Is this classified as practice? I would call it cheating. I guess some people will do anything to reach grandmaster. Truly sad

Over the last couple of years of roing, it's sometimes difficult to appeas the masses. Rule book or not sometimes you have to let a little poop slide. I try my best to follow the rules and sometimes viewed as a range Nazi. Less we remember the ro has the final word on the stage. I suggest everyone become certified R.O. and walk in those shoes before you judge.you ask anyone who shoots with ME, I bring entertainment value when I shoot. I go out of my way to help the new guys. Come shoot with me , you would be glad you did. Don't forget, this is all for fun. Yes yes

I never said anything about relying on the timer, I said use it to confirm shots fired. I don't know what kind of timer you use, but my ced7000 reads well. I never have to be that close to the shooter to read anything. In some instances where Im roing, I can be 10 foot away for the shooter as I would be in his way. Like confirm we areas. My timer works just fine. Until someone buys me one , mine will be the one I use. I wasn't trying to pick a fight. Dang y'all

Hope I'm not out of place , but as an ro I think that's why there r 2 . When I'm timeing a shooter I'm watching him and his gun for safety. U know keep my eyes on the shooter. The other ro can watch targets. As far as shots go if u have a decent timer, it should count shots. Just this past weekend I was timeing a shooter and happend to notice him shooting a hole right threw his previous shot, if I wouldn't have noticed it I could pull it up on my timer. Of course it seems with local matches ur situation would have been overlooked as it's not like it was nationals. This is just an opinion, please don't reguard as disrespect.

heavy metal replied to TMC's topic in What I Hate
Since day 1 I have wanted to win. I started shooting matches 3 years ago and every match I do my best. I know I'm not going to win and that's ok. I'm a c shooter getting close to b, and that is good enough for me. Time and practice and most of all have fun. I have more friends now in the shooting world than anywhere else. That's where it's at. In 20 years from now u will b better. -
Ive can top that. I've been married for 10 years!!!!
-
I should start a primer making buisness, I'd b rich
-
Those times r fast. If u want to b faster, 2 things more practice and time.
-
Does anyone know, who has large pistol primers? Why r they so hard to find?????
-
Dont you hate it when someone asks you , have you had any problems with your para? You might reply like me and say no it's been running perfectly and then you shoot 3 targets and your sear spring breaks during a match. Man that sucks!

Dude, unless you have big bank and no wife ands kids, don't do it. I got out of 3-gun because it's just too expensive. A few years ago I use to get 1000 rounds delivered to my home for 200.00 bucks. Now it's like 450.00-500.00 for crap ammo. 3-gun is high, heavy metal is crazy. I do miss it
