thanks....how is the stock trigger on a buckmark? what is a Heggis Flip?
The stock trigger is heavy. The Heggis flip is flipping over the sear spring. It makes the trigger a lot lighter.
Go to rimfirecentral.com and do a bit of searching. There is a ton of info there.
That's right singlestack, there is alot of info. not only on buckmarks but all rimfires. Also, for buckmarks there is a guy named rusty22 that makes some cool parts for the buckmark.

It looks like some are Way too serious for this thread

I like the American Veterans & Soldier's for the sacrifice they made & make everyday to keep this wonderful Country free. Thankyou, God Bless you and your Family.
I second that motion snowtop!!! Without the brave men and women who have sacrificed their time, life, families, sweat and some the ultimate, their life, we would not have this great sport that brings us all together in this forum and alot of other freedoms we enjoy! To all here including myself
THANK YOU FOR SERVING!!!!
HAPPY VETERNS DAY!!!
I also would like to recognize my daughter who's 11th bday is today 11-11-11!!! How cool is that.

That espn video was cool. I wish I had seen it back when it aired in 1994-95 time frame. I would have been hooked back then.

When their mental game is better than mine it is!!!
-
Some think it OK. Others think it unsafe.
So... my question.
If someone is flipping a stick/hatchet/rock/flipping a round out of their pistol around you and it accidentley flies over (or blows up) and pops you in the face.... Do you smack them one on the nose..or not?
Not if you want to shoot at that range anymore.
LOL!!! I'd say yes! "You *&%%$%$#$^% Jack Wagon!!!"

I prefer the buckmark!
That gun is perfect...care to share the build sheet?
Buckmark URX
Tac Sol 5.5" barrel w/ comp
Slide racker custom built and milled/tapped the slide
C More RTS red dot
Heggis Flip
Trigger from Rusty22 from Rimfire Central (He builds lots of awesome parts for a buckmark)
I agree that it is the perfect 22 pistol. This gun is awesome to shoot. It is very light and shoots very flat and fast. I play with Federal bulk from Wal-Mart and it shoots them great. For matches I shoot Federal Match from Wal-Mart. As long as I keep the gun fairly clean, it does great. I strip it down and clean it completely after about 1500~2000 rounds. Before each match I clean out as much gunk as possible and relube it.

WOW, this really got in my head ...
That's where it all happens.

Your right Brian, seems that I get beat by my mind alot more than I get beat by other people's mind!!!LOL! If my mental shooting game would catch up to my physical skills I'd be on my way up the ladder! Just gotta figure out how to do that.

Well I shot a miserable match Sunday morning! This all after having to DQ my ten year old daughter after she broke the 180 while trying to reload off of a barrel. She was shooting her buckmark and had to turn to grab another mag off of the barrel behind her(180 trap) and she broke the 180. It sucked to have to dq her but rulz is rulz. She took it well and learned a valuable lesson not soon to be forgotten!!!! But..Dad kept this with me the rest of the match. I felt I should have coached her so she didn't do what she did since I knew it was a trap, but I just didn't catch her in time. Since this was our first stage and she only shot 7 rounds before she was DQed, I had to deal with that the rest of the match. It bothered me more than her. I had a total of 6 misses for the match plus 6 procedurals on a classifier in a 5 stage match. WOW, this really got in my head and followed me the rest of the day. It's crazy that stuff like this can affect your mind and shooting so much!!!!!

Worry over what you have control over. Its a concept that after nearly 60 years I still have trouble with. You can only account for yourself. What others do is out of your reach no matter how much you try to control all facets of your game. If you make a mistake you correct it and move on. Focusing on the mistake only leads to more mistakes and doubt in your ability. That's a sure killer. Yea it's hard but no one is harder on you than yourself.
I know some will disagree but reaching the goal is not that important. It's the journey one undertakes to be in a position to accomplish that goal is what really matters. Just take a look at what You have experienced and who you have met since the first day you started shooting. Think of all those experiences and the knowledge you have gained as a result of trying to reach this goal. The memories and the storys you share with others. The focus should be on the journey. So when you get to feeling down think about the journey that got you to this point because in the end the journey is real the reward.
Wow!!! How true this is, I just returned from a state match a few weeks ago that was one of the funnest matches I can remember shooting. I was squaded with several of my long time shooting buddies and we had a blast watching each other shoot and the experiences on and off the range. A few of us did really well and a few of us didn't but it all seemed a mute point with all the fun we had. That journey was one that money can't buy! Have fun and do your best, you'll shoot better not worrying about how well you "have" to do!

Another great MS Classic!!! Thanks to all the other folks that helped make this match what it is! I worked for 5 straight LOOONG days but it was well worth it when several shooters came up to me and personally thanked me. That makes all the sweat worth while. A huge thanks to John, for all the great coordination and everything else he does. Thanks also need to go out to the guys who headed up the prizes!!! We had a great prize table. I think all shooters that stayed around for awards walked away with nothing to complain about!!!! And congrats to the 3 shooters who walked away with new GUNS!!! Thanks to all our sponsers and vendors who helped out in one way or another. The crawfish was definately a great addition that I think went over well with all that stayed around Saturday night. And for the one's who didn't, SORRY you missed it!!!! Looks like we have another tradition, I hope! Well, I've said enough. If I forgot to thank anyone, Thanks!
