Practiscore has me with a red X for approved and squad and the pay column is blank. Will approval be coming for me?

That's odd Rowdy. I had someone else with a similar issue on the fee payment. This link should get you there. Please feel free to email me gagoode@yahoo.com if you have any other problems.

  3. Greetings Shooters,

There have been a few hiccups with PS registration and squadding, but I'm working to iron those out. Please don't hesitate to email me if you have any issues.

We are working hard to keep making this match better every year. We have some very crafty stage designers in our coterie, which should make for a fun match. Stay tuned....more to come!

  5. I dug around a bit, but didn't find what I was looking for to answer my question.

We have several Kindles we use for sign-in, but even though a shooter is in last month's match their info doesn't populate when I enter their last name. Some of small kindle's that we use for scoring have most every shooter I could think of that has come to our matches. But the bigger one that just gets used for sign-in is missing lots of names.

For example when I dig through older matches on the big kindle I'm in lots of the match results, but when I set up a Test match and try to add myself it doesn't pull my info. Any ideas? Having to type in all that info for >80 people gets old real fast.

  6. I see lots of glock porn with holes in slides.

I'm looking for a GlockSmith that appreciates what Gaston envisioned with some additional functionality. Flare wears me out, I just want function. Forward serrations that match the rear factory ones, and top serrations for single hand manipulation. What shops are around that can do the job and aren't in a 2yr fan boi waiting line?

  7. If 1911's were allowed to play in Production, then maybe we could finally answer the "gun vs. skill" debate (sarcasm inserted). Let's face it those CZ and Tanfo triggers vs John Browning vs striker design would answer some questions.

Scrap L10 and SS and let those guns play in Prod. Let's concentrate the heat into a few divisions to see who is the best.

  8. 10.5.2 If at any time during the course of fire, a competitor allows the muzzle of his handgun to point rearwards, that is further than 90 degrees from the median intercept of the backstop, or in the case of no backstop, allows the muzzle to point up range, whether the handgun is loaded or not (limited exceptions: 10.5.6).

First of all there is no "180 rule". I know I know that's what everyone calls it but that isn't in the rule book. Besides 10.5.2 takes care of it.

If anyone would like to argue a counterpoint using "freestyle" as a basis have fun but it's a moot point. The fact this thread went more than 1 page is somewhat astonishing.

  9. USPSA is not a gear race, yet it is a mental race.

If your gear works and is safe, then you are good. Beyond that? Get fast and accurate, quickly.

"when you first start, go slow and get your hits" and you will finish close to the bottom. However, if when you first start and you go fast and don't get your hits you will still finish close to the bottom.

Use your dryfire and your other practice to get as fast and accurate as you can as quickly as you can, if you want to be competitive. If your goal is to have fun and just shoot, then all this is moot. If you want to get better, then get a class from a good instructor.

  10. Send one of your local MD's an email and ask when they need help before the next match. I little sweat equity goes a long way. After our matches we typically sort out the noshoots and if helpers want to take them then I'm good with that.

Also, if you just want a few most MD's will probably sell you a few out of their stack.

  11. I will be your MD for this Sectional. We are getting closer to Aug so if you are looking for some fun and gun then give our match a look. Stages are posted as indicated above by the RM, and the Match book will be coming out shortly. We look forward to hosting some of our out of state folks as well as some of our in state hot rods to make a run at some pretty nice trophies. I'm also proud to announce that http://www.revolversupply.com/ has come on as a match sponsor, and we truly appreciate their commitment.

    Examples from last year:

The pics don't do these justice but here goes:

  12. So you still find the walk through to be useful? We get around 85 shooters on the average. Sometimes 60 sometimes 110. Not only does it take at least 30 min to walk 6-7 stages a few folks are always talking amongst themselves, and about half aren't even even listening.

Plus we would never make it unless we setup the day before, just not going to work. I'm jealous, or fortunate that we have lots of room.

But yeah you have hit lots of the high's and low's. As stated earlier the part about not shooting your best because of duties was pretty good. I'm B so my best is pretty bad anyway.

  13. I like where your logic is but I personally think that maybe overthinking it a bit. Lower A zone, get two good quick shots off and keep it moving. As always make sure you call two good ones. just ones man's opinion.
