  1. none at all On second thought, you're probably not able to generate a lot of heat if you're running into these problems. Just got back from testing the gun. I used 8.2 grs and got a power factor of 171 and out of 100 rounds, I had NO problems and it ran perfectly! Thanks to all!
  2. We did double check the plug and no problem. I loaded some new with 170 P/F and going to test it hopefully tonight. I will let you know the results and hopefully that will fix it!
  3. We went to test the new gun out today. The other day it ran fairly well. It cycled about 70% without adjusting the extractor and ejector. Tonight it would barely come out of battery. Out of 40 shots,we had 5 cycle. It does have the extractor and ejector setup also on this go around. The only thing new, is 3 exhaust on the side of the comp, from the last test. There appears and feels to be no binding issues. There are no feed issues. No lug issues. We were both perplexed with the results. I have the following breakdown: Para Frame STI Slide- weight is down to 10.5 ounces Schuemann 3 port barrel EGW extractor, ejector and three port comp 7# variable spring Alchin mount with C-more 124 grain FMJ- 7 grains Power Pistol which is light to start with. Do you have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any insights. Thanks
  4. You are right. I was trying to import data to a new table so that all could see. Maybe a little dyslexic! The correct length is as follows: 38 super= 1.268 shot out of Schuemann 4 port hybrid EGW 3 port comp 9mm= 1.124 shot out of EGW 4 port comp

  7. Just loaded 10 each of 7gr,7.2gr,7.4 and 7.6 grains for 38 super. Precision Delta 124FMJ with an overall length of 1.268. I will update my findings after this weekend, when I chronograph. I test fired a couple (10) at 7 grains which was much cleaner than power pistol, and felt better.
  8. Thanks guys! I'll give them a call.
  9. Can anyone recommend a hard chroming specialist? My gun is just about done and I have decided on having this process done for protection. I appreciate all the help!
  10. Thanks Lynn and Silver Surfer! As I look at the burn rate chart, it is a faster powder. I was told to use a slower burning powder? Any suggestions?
  11. I would appreciate an additional help on this! I am currently running a double stack open 38 super, Schuemann 4 port and EGW 6 port comp. I am having a new one made with the only difference is a Schuemann 3 port. My son is moving up and it will be my back-up. OK let's not totally lie, dad also wants a new gun . The present gun gets very dirty after 200 rounds. I clean the gun after every session ( 200 rounds) I am loading 124 grain FMJ, 7.3 grains of Power Pistol and OAL 1.265, to make major. I have read a lot of great info on the Forum, but would appreciate more help. Should I go to a little slower burning powder (WSF , 4756, Longshot or ???) the three mentioned are locally available and cost effective. Thanks!!
