It finally let me pay after 4 attempts but now it shows me as signed up 4 times. Oh well, I guess the 3 unpaid will drop off tonight.

What is there to gain by shooting 9mm out of your .38sc? Am I missing something?

Im really not trying to be a jerk this is a serious question: Have you ever shot a USPSA match? I started in IDPA and after my first USPSA match IDPA is like free throw practice. I love the people at my local club and wish i could shoot on Saturday but I just can't do it anymore it is the most frustrating thing on earth.
NO question, but the video show what a lack of real rules looks like. That way of shooting the stage was technically perfectly legal.
I loved the video. Ben is an amazing shooter, he probably would have left everyone in the dust even if he had shot the stage the way it was intended.Yep, if you don't like games with rules, it's best to move on from IDPA. Really enjoyed this match last year. Just signed up, great sign up website. This is the way every match sign should be done and WOW, site is up 12 hrs and already 41 signed up.

If everything goes as planned will there be at least two Swedish shooters at Double Tap in 2014.
I was there in "12" and I had a blast.
Alf, I have to tell you that the way those of us Texans see the globe is different than the way most view it. To us, Texas covers about 97% of the face if the earth with a thin blue sliver on each side across which lies the rest of things on earth. :-)
I always look forward to shooting with people from other countries, even Oklahoma. :-)

Shot this one Saturday for the first time. Got my hits, only dropped 3 points but.... Couldn't find my dot for my first weak hand shot for what seamed like 5 or 6 seconds, wasn't pretty.

could have been a long round and the bullet got hung up in the barrel on unload and show clear. So, not really a squib??
That was my thought, long load, poor crimp, ULSC and the bullet stayed on the bore.

Don't take any heat for not cleaning your barrel. The only thing I put down the barrels of my open guns are 121grain MG IFP bullets. I do clean the chamber obviously and look down them but nothing down the barrel for years now and I shoot a significant amount. Also I only clean when I think I might start having reliability issues before a major match which translates to around 1200 to 2000 rounds between cleanings.

I currently run three old style SV big sticks in my STI but I'm going SV stainless grips. Will the old style SV mags work in the SV stainless grip?

I think you are correct, it's best that you get it out of your garage by sending it to me. That way I can have a matched set LOL.

The one year we all think Jimmy cancelled the match was really postponed. You see the Texas State Limited you shot last year (2012) was really the 2011 and the 2012 will really be shot in 2014... If we'll just be patient... it will happen.

This has always been my best classifier. Shot an 80 yesterday and an 82 last year.

Not going to flame, no point in that. But IDPA HQ has already said that clubs may begin using the new rules early. Why not get used to something that is coming anyway. Otherwise it would be like dropping the speed limit from 55 on the highway to 40 with no warning or grace period.As a local club MD, this makes me mad.
IMHO if the MD is inforcing the new rules which are not effective until 1 Oct, they are in violation of the current rule book and basically running an outlaw match. These are not IDPA rules until 1 Oct. This is just as bad as runing a match on 1 Oct under the old rules. It is a good idea to discuss how things would be differnt under the new rules but to enforce them is wrong.
Flame me if you want, but I don't like it and I think it further's the impression IDPA officals just make up / pick and chose rules to enforce any old way they want.
I'm glad to hear you are looking at your gear to make sure you are legal come 1 Oct. If you want to do flat footed relaods to practice the new rules that's fine but its wrong to enforce that rule until 1 Oct.

Great analogy going from 55 to 40 without a warning, we need to slooooooow doooooown we're shooting to fast so stand still and make that reload. I'm done....

I don't think it's disregard for existing customers as much as total overwhelming demand. I know what it's like to come in on a Monday morning to a voice mail box that's full and so many phone calls coming in that you couldn't even get your messages off the vm box. Then when each successive day is the same and it becomes impossible to manage. It finally comes done to turning your vm box off, and answering request one at a time as they come. I'm sure that email can be the same.
I know it's frustrating when you are the one trying to get thru but remember you aren't the only one.

Not sure where you're getting that from. Basically no comp, no optic, 140mm mags... Good to go limited.

I agree that the components are out there you've just got to be patient and don't wait until you're low to order.
Of the three local clubs I shoot at the two USPSA clubs shoot the same round counts as before. The other club is an IDPA club and they've gone down to 50 rounds for five stages. It's pretty much not worth shooting but that club is made up mainly of new shooters that don't reload. If you don't reload it must be pretty tough especially 9mm.

A few years back a friend gave me a several hundred .45 hand loads he picked up at a gun show. I only accepted them to keep him from shooting them because I've heard some of the vendors at gun shows and it's scary. I'll never shoot them, I like my guns and I'm allergic to pain.
