Looks like most of your questions regarding the differences have been covered. As far as El Paso is concerned here's the line-up:
IDPA: Every third Saturday at 9 AM at the Fort Bliss Rod and Gun Club-when you get there ask for Steve Seligman-he will take care of you. First-time shooters shoot for free
USPSA: Second Saturday of the month at Fort Bliss Rod and Gun Club. Winter hours start at 10AM. Ask for Randy or Francis.
Steel Challenge: Every 4th Saturday at the Butterfield Range-Las Cruces, NM at 9 AM. Ask for Robert Mullan or Bill Miller.
I am not aware of any GSSF clubs in this area

I was going to order an STI Aluminum grip for my new Eagle 9mm from Dawson Precision. Installation is described as "Simple with no fitting required." So when I asked them if they would install it for me they said they didn't install aluminum grips but didn't explain why. I got the impression that installation was not simple and did require fitting. Comments? I also contacted STI for their comments. They advised their older models did require some fitting but the newer model didn't...however, they also won't install the aluminum grips-not a very good endorsement for grips they manufacture

I recently purchased a 5" Eagle from Dawson Precision and Dave is going to complete his CRP mods on it shortly. Are there any parts on this model that need to be replaced that would improve it or make it less susceptible to breaking? Thanks

Sounds like it's time to sic the Postal Inspectors on this company.

I have shot the .40 minor with no problems. However, you may run into a problem buying it from Atlanta Arms and Ammo if you are a new customer.

Walked into Academy this morning and observed they were now carrying primers (Winchester)-small and large pistol. Jose behind the counter advised they would also be carrying powder in the future. Sorry, didn't get the price of the Winchester primers. Looks like the ammo shortage (except .22) is over-they had a good supply of all pistol calibers including 9x23.

Do you currently have this model in stock? If yes, do you have the 126mm 17-rd magazines in stock? Thanks

"Macro A" Lens?

The only macro lens I could find was a Mamiya with the designation "A". Suspect you will have to contact Mamiya to find out what the "A" means, if anything.
