Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hey Dudes, It was 106 at my house in Waco. But I'm in Raton right now where it smells like pine, raining, and 66 degrees. Life is good. ira
  2. Thanx to all my friends at Tac Pro for everything they did Saturday. I enjoyed the shooting, I enjoyed your company, I enjoyed being there. I enjoyed the heat. Makes me feel alive. I love it when we get together and shoot. I don't care what the stages are. I don't care what the conditions are. Whatever the stage says I will shoot it with as much effort as I can muster and try to learn something from the experience. May we live forever and shoot together some more. thanx again, ira
  3. If we are voting for stages for next year, I too want to shoot stage 1 again. That was humiliating.
  4. I think the Glock 17L is the most beautiful Glock of all. If you like Glocks, the 17L is an elegant weapon. I always use it in any matches that don't outlaw it for length. It's my favorite carry gun. I recently acquired a Glock 21 long slide from Lone Wolf. It's heavier in looks and feel, but it is the same length as the 17L. It has its own elegance. That's a gun with serious attitude. I'm considering it as a carry gun.
  5. I had the same problem when I put Dawson sights on a Glock 17L. I thought the barrel length was the problem. But I found the Bomar adjustable sight from Dawson is taller than the Dawspn adjustable sight. I couldn't adjust the Bomar low enough with a .300 Dawson front sight. But when I switched to the Dawson adjustable rear sight (which is slightly lower start with) and a.300 Dawson front sight, I was able to adjust it with room to spare.
