  1. I have bought two Corey Tripp mags to try out. For some reason it does not seat properly. I'm using tech well sp system and using egw higher mag catch. The magazine is hard to seat and hard to release. I have to push the mag button so hard for it to release. Anybody have experience this problem? Thanks.

  2. Thanks for all the replies. The gun is working now. However, the problem was the fitting if the barrel. SV barrel as compared to schuemann has a different cut from the side of the rib all the way to the lugs. It seems that with SV you need to take more material for it not to rub or hit. If you push down the muzzle it does move but when racked while in that position that's when we felt the barrel stopping the slide from moving. Thanks everyone!

  3. I had my gunsmith build me an open pistol using SV hybrid barrel with 6 ribbed and 3 port and using an a-zone comp. When being racked the slide and frame slides smoothly. However, whenever I shoot it the slide doesn't seem to batter all the way back to cock hammer and to eject and put the next round to chamber. My gunsmith kept fiddling with it but with no luck. Anyone can think of or may know what's causing all these? Thanks for the help in advance. It's a 38sc and using a major load.

  4. I'm in the process of building a 1911 for single stack division. I'm trying to decide on slide serrations. I'm trying to choose between classic slanted or snake skin. I'm also planning on getting the top of slide snake bellied. However, it's already been tri topped and doing so will probably make the slide lighter and snappier. Any inputs will be appreciated. Thanks.

  5. Are there any parts that may need to be changed when going with the Trojan route? I've read on some post that it will still need some tweaking and gunsmith work. Trojan is priced at close to 1100 and you can get all the parts for a build close to the price. I guess the thing that's holding me back is the price of having the gunsmith build it.
