What kind of finish do they have on the frame? Is it a durable finish or does it chip or wear?
-
Do they even have the same trigger pull? I check Angus website and the info on trigger is the same but when I read some of the thread some people say that the target has 15lb mainspring and the shadow custom has 13lb. But, on Angus website it says they are both custom version.

What's the POI of the shadow anyways? The only reason why i'm kinda leaning on an adjustable is because I don't want to be the one to compensate for the gun when hitting a target?

I am in the market for a production pistol and I'm leaning towards CZ. I guess my question is which one would be a better pick Shadow custom or the shadow custom target? Any input would really be appreciated. Thanks.

I will sure try that. Don't get me wrong. I do like the 12moa since I don't lose the dot and it's easy to acquire. Thanks.....
-
I have tried 12 moa and use it on 2 matches. It's really good on close up target and you can always see the dot. The problem is shooting a target somewhere past 15 yards that is covered. It usually takes up the whole target. I'm going back to 6 for that reason.

Need to know what is a good 9mm spacer that will work with sti mags with bolen products. Any input would help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Eric....true I can put a thicker base pad on 140 and still be legal for open. Does the 170 with 4mm base pad will require massaging to fit the gauge?
-
I have the new stamp sv mags for 9mm. I am currently using a limcat base pads and grams spring and follower. I'm only getting 23 rounds on 140 and 28 rounds on 170mm. I have seen people posted with 29-30 rounds on 170 and 24-25 rounds on 140mm. Please let me know how to set it up. Any input will surely be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I like the slide racker on second poc. Where did you get that if you dont mind me asking.
-
I always start with a big stick. Depending on some stage I may start with 140 then reload with 170.

I have a friend that's been shooting his open built in the 90's and only minor changes or maintenance done. As long as the slide, barrel, and frame is fitted right I font think they'll give up. Plus your load is just right...
-
Meaning if the grip has been fitted and installed correctly then I wouldn't have any problem with it cracking?
-
I am in the process of building a new open pistol as a back up and considering an aluminum grip. I heard and seen some threads about the grip developing some cracks after so many rounds fired. Is this still happening? Has STI done any improvements on their aluminum grips? Thanks.

138 + 4 = 142,,, thats too long.
Good calculation. Didn't think of that
-
Even if RHT is 138mm if you add a 4mm base pad still won't fit the gauge? I guess, I'll go with 3mm then with not much modification. How do you tune the mags though? Do you have to send it to a smith?
-
I was wondering what bolen size pad to use on a RHT 138mm magazine for .40 cal? Thanks!

I always like having a thumbrest to where I can place my thumb and give some control to the Gun. All of the open pistol I had and still have has thumbrest. I like arredondo and also Limcats thumbrest.

How about Bedell progressive comp. They have it at shootersconnection
-
Pelican case or anything that will protect it from pressure.
-
I use a 50/50 solution of vinager and hydrogen peroxide. Let it soak overnight and all carbon just wipes or rinses out. Just be careful as this solution will remve paint or blueing. Only use on stainless steel.
Is this safe with stainless steel comp with chrome finish? Is it harsh to loctite?
-
I just bought or built a new open pistol and shot it on a match and did few practices and notice that my comp is beginning to have a build up of powder blast residue. I clean the gun each time I shoot it and lube it well. How do you clean and maintain your compensator without having a build up? What cleaning compound are best to use that won't be harsh in melting the loctite on the barrel thread? I'm currently using a wd40 and it's quite not effective in cleaning the build ups. Your opinion or suggestion will surely be appreciated. Thanks.

Anybody has a duo tone shadow?
in CZ
Posted
I think even the blue one does wear and it probably even more noticeable than the duo tone..
