  1. I got my polo last week. I was not pleased with the screen print for the logo on the front. You could hardly make out what it said. I don't plan on returning it but I do wish that I would have just gotten the T-shirt now.
  2. Good deal! I think the end of Oct. will be a great time for this match. Can't wait!
  3. Yep. A guy from our squad, Ricco Tumminello. He's still hasn't sent us a pic though!
  4. Cool So the top 20 get bumped to Pro next year..... I can see the top 5 or maybe 10 moving to pro but not the top 20. Reason being there was a guy on my squad that finished in the 40's just because he had one really bad stage. Without that bad stage he would have easily finished 10th to 15th. I'm sure there were others that did the same. Bottom line is that the AM table was random, you take your chances at the luck of the draw. If you want to make sure of your prize, then by all means pay the extra $$$ and go for it as a Pro.
  5. A BIG THANK YOU to Colt and all of the other sponsors. I was lucky enough to pick this new Colt CR Pro rifle off the prize table Saturday evening. It had several other items with it but the Dueck Defense RTS sights were a really nice addition. To Jeff and his crew, you sure know how to throw a party!
  6. I was lucky enough to win the other one. I guess us "Ohio Bobs" took home great rifles. THANKS COLT!!!
  7. I'm headed out first thing in the morning right after we take the little one to his first day of 1st Grade. I should get there around 4pm Central time. For those who don't know, you will be on Central time.
  8. You sound like me when it comes to the guys at work. Nice to see a fellow Buckeye will be there.
  9. Oh no you don't! I shot with B. Payne at the BRM3G this year and if he's at this one I'm gonna snatch him up!
  10. I burned a 1-day vacation just for the 3-Gun @ Rayner's. It's for a very good cause and the match is always top notch IMO. I just hope that next year I'm off when they schedule it.
  11. Best advice I got a few years back when I first started was from a local LEO. He noticed that I was not shooting my usual HK USP 45 one day at a local match and asked why. I replied that just to have fun I planned to start mixing it up a bit. One day I would shoot the USP 45, next time the USP 40, then the USP 9, and a new GLOCK 34 that I had just purchased to shoot at a GSSF match. His next comment to me was "you know what they say about the man with one gun don't you?" "He probably knows how to use it." Over the next week my son and I shot 3,000 rds of WWB 115's with that G34 without ever cleaning it before the GSSF match and I ran another 2K with it over the next couple of weeks. Needless to say, my USP's very rarely get pulled out of the safe for a match now and that G34 has a little over 35K through it. It's my go to gun for every type of match I shoot whether it be IDPA, USPSA, or 3-Gun. Let me know if you decide to sell your G34.
  12. I'm just trying to figure out whether or not I need a motel for Sat. night too.
  13. AWESOME! Thanks to you and Jason for the Cave videos. At least with those I can let my family and friends know what it looked like.
  14. This was my first trip to the BRM3G and I had a blast! Hats off to Andy and his crew for all the hard work putting on this match. Our squad did not get to shoot stages 3 & 4, but we sure had a ball shooting the others. We shot the Cave stage at the end of our first day and yes, I did have a smile on my face the rest of the evening after that. I really enjoyed being on squad 15. Our squad actually would race to see how fast we could reset targets once we got the ok from an SO. At times we were shoving each other trying to get to the next piece of steel to reset it! I will say that if Mr. B. Payne wanted to get to one before you, then just let him have it. There was no way I was going to fight that big guy! I've had friends ask me "how it went?" and all I can say is that no matter how prepared you think you are for the BRM3G, you're not. I shot in the TI division with my Aimpoint M3 and I was very pleased with being able to hit my long range rifle targets with that setup, but next year I'll be shooting in the TO div. for several reasons. Good time with good people!
  15. The truck is packed, it's raining outside (WHAT A SHOCK!), got all my paperwork and directions printed out, just need to get some sleep now and hopefully have a sunny drive tomorrow to the match. One last question, birdshot only for the SG right? No need for buckshot?
  16. I plan on wearing long pants and hopefully my Deep Woods Off with 40% DEET will be enough.
  17. Also to add a note....you can pull the gun around anyway you want, and not break the 180 as long as there is no live round in the chamber. I wondered about that after watching a few vids from last year's match. Thanks for the info.
  18. Oh i'm sure it will be a wonderful squad. I just meant that I didn't see anyone that I have shot with before.
  19. Squad 15 for me and I don't recognize a single name on that squad.
  20. LOL... I kinda figure that I'll be doing the same thing.
  21. If you're shooting Blue Ridge this year you will find out! It's actually not necessary if someone else on your squad has one, but I've been the only guy with a working RF on my squad at a few matches. I knew that I would get a chuckle or two out of that question. I know that I should never assume anything especially after having three kids but, I had to ask. Yes this will be my first time at the BRM3G and I'm entered in the Tac-Iron division. While the match director AH advised me to know my rifle holds out to 500, I'll be attempting this with an Aimpoint M3 and or my iron sights, so I kinda figure it will be a game of hope in the case of my old ass.
