I have been running uzi mags in my gun for almost 2 seasons.
-
I am lazy I run 124 gr wwb nato loads for long range. Capable of 8" plates to 150yds with a razor red dot. Even my handloads make the shots just have to hold higher. I do load to about 150 pf.

I have played with an Atlas and an Akai. I was impressed by both. When I get ready for another limited build I would not hesitate to get either. I have run a Lone Star for 6 seasons with 2 top ends and have been happy with it.

I have both. I didn't really notice much. My comp tac has rear sight for slugs. They are backup gunsto my m2. Going to sell them for another m2.

This is silly. Surely you guys aren't serious? You don't think that having a division that can one can be reasonably competitive in with an off-the shelf 9mm has helped fuel the growth the sport is seeing today? Sure, you could shoot a stock G17 in limited minor, but you absolutely no chance against people shooting 2011s with major scoring. While some divisions need to go away (single stack, I'm looking at you), going back to just Limited and Open would absolutely decimate USPSA membership.
I think the dozen divisions we have makes matches a joke. 60 shooters no more than 7 or 8 in a division. Since you changed rules to make production limited minor without a magwell, carry optics is open minor. The you get rid of 2. Limited 10 is a joke no participation at most matches. Open and pcc have optics and comps. Leaves with you with open, limited and single stack.

I don't care. Make it 2 divisions like old days. Now it's a limited minor gun without a magwell.

Whatever your times are cut by half. Then maybe half again.

Why not buy Glock OEM mags? Im always slightly confused by the practice of buying aftermarket Glock mags.
You can save a dollar or two. I like for my competition to run them. In fact I recommend it. They work great until they don't.

If I am running the stage I prefer an empty gun if going prone. I learned the lesson of a good retention holster many years ago.

Gen 2. RE: RECALL- it's only some of the carbines made in 2017.
I found it my gun is right in the middle of a series that are not on recall. I was fixing to do some upgrades and didn't to if it was going back.

Gen1 or 2?

For $20 bucks I can get mags. Not really an issue. I have not noticed excessive wear yet, but only have about 3k thru this gun. The old all steel mags were crap and didn't work reliably.

About 15 minutes from range.

It will be in May.
I just might start shooting production again.

Is the Zev flat trigger now legal for production?
-
So I can take the magwell of my backup 3 gun pistol and use it in production. The stippling had ruled it out.
-
I figured I would try practice.

I love it when others run them. After a couple of trashed stages I loan them a couple of glock mags to finish. I do wait until they are really frustrated first.
-
Definitely not going to work.

This is a discussion you should be having with your gunsmith, unless you are they.
I would listen to this guy. He might know a little something about it.

I switch between the 180 and 200. Just depends on what's in stock when I order. 200 is definitely softer but I like the slide speed of the 180. I have also run 165 in the gun. The were really accurate once I got use to the recoil impulse.
-
I prefer 320, but have used 310 to load about 1500 coated bullets with no issues. I have run it in my pistols and pcc. I do like the fact that it is so much cleaner than TG.

Will ATVs/UTVs be recommended for this range, or can we drive close to all the stages with trucks?
Got to check out the range last weekend. For some you should be able to park and walk to most of stages. I am not what they have planned. I would email Brian and see what they are planning.

How did it shoot?
I finally got a chance to run it. I ran it side by side with a factory 1919. Both guns ran 100%, but I only had 5 rd mags to try. I ran Winchester cheap crap and double aa, Fiochi, Remington sts. The 1919 ripped the first rim off the cheap stuff, but ran everything else. The utas ran it all,but the cheap stuff was a little sluggish. I have a couple of 10 rd mags on the way to try next. They both shoot fiochi slugs to poa @ 50 yds. The 1919 was run with 100 rds of 1450 fpi loads to break it in. No break in was done to the utas. I probably will one of the 2 for uml rules 3 gun shooting 4x4 division. I am also looking at an xrail. About 150 rds thru each gun while testing.

I have a Hahn top loading block in a factory lower. Upper was built by 10 ring precision. Uzi is a tougher mag than the metalform colt mags.
