  1. Congratulations Henning. Well done! Match results here
  2. The new front sights seems higher than the stock ones. My rear sights are adjusted high already with the stock iron sights and using the H-520 pads just barely fitting the IPSC box with the sights depressed. Is there anyway getting the new sights lower? maybe a mm lower than the stock iron sights. More lower like this on the pic I edited. Notice the step removed? It would be better (for me) without the step. Original: I understand that you will see a bit of the slide if it is lower but I rather have that than increase the height of my rear sights even higher. I am really interested on having that sight but it won't work for me at the moment. Any chance of getting it lowered in the future?
  3. Henning, I understand from your previous post that the first hook is cut down to 0.012" and you mentioned that the second hook (half-cock) has been also cut down. What is the height of the second hook now? Thanks for the info.
  4. I only shoot in Minor IPSC Standard with my HC Custom in 38super. (around 130-140PF) Followed Henning tips on recoil springs but in order for the slide to work 100% on a 6lbs recoil spring, gun has to be fully tuned including the mags and the ammo! I tried all Wolff recoil spring from 6 to 14 pounds! The lighter you go, the flatter the gun sits. Ended up using 6lbs but the problem is that the slide does not lock properly when the weather is too cold! I am already using the slide-glide lite. Solution I found is by installing a Sprinco Recoil Reducer. It gives the slide an extra push coming back to battery. Never looked back and the gun works like clockwork regardless of the weather! The gun sits flat like a .22! Transition and recovery from shot to shot is amazing! You can see some vids of the gun in action if you check my sig. A few mates of mine since then installed the Spinco Recoil Reducer on their Eric Gold, HC Customs and even Trubor using only 8-10lbs of Wolff recoil Spring! I believe Henning use 10lbs Wolff Recoil Spring on his 40S&W Standard gun. If I was shooting the same, I would try 8lbs Wolff Recoil Spring on a Sprinco Recoil Reducer. I hope this helps. BTW, I've been a long time lurker on this forum and recently just posted. Started the sport 9 months ago. synnsyk, benos, and all of you in this forum rocks!
  5. Thank you Cardinal. Yes, everybody can use .357SIG to score major provided they reach the minimum PF of 170. But, I don't see the point of using .357SIG if you can already use .40S&W. As I understand, there is a big difference in recoil, flip, feeding, etc... is there? or not? That's what I want to find out regarding our Limited Custom. Basically, reliability issues such as FTE,FTF, etc...
  6. Not down here in Australia. As of January 08 on IPSC ruling, .357SIG can make major. It is due to the fact that some countries have some funny laws about guns/calibers. Australian citizens for example are not allowed to own a gun with a caliber of .40 and above! We also have a 10round magazine cap to all kinds of pistols. That's why late last year, Tanfoglio started selling a .357SIG top-end for the Limited Custom. Before I jump into the wagon, I would like to know how the .357SIG functions in our Limited Custom.
  7. As the title says, I am just wondering if anyone here shoots their Limited Custom in .357SIG
  8. New shooter myself. Just 8 months into this addiction. Although I am still a noob, my advice is to join good quality matches where you can watch and see Master graders at work. For some funny reason, I think you can absorb their moves much quicker this way than in any other way. I only had competed in just 3x level2 matches and 2x level3 matches and to be honest, I learned more things in the level3 matches than practicing for 6 months! Learn only from Master Graders or A graders with at least 10 years of experience in competition. Listen to what they all got to say and figure out which works for you. Don't be afraid to approach the Master or even Grand Masters at matches to ask for tips. I found out that they don't bite! hehe... They will always be glad to give you a tip or two.
  9. I think this will help explain the Mozambique. http://www.kuci.org/~dany/firearms/jeff1_1.html
