  1. Depends on the Division.  All the handgun divisions have a maximum magazine length, either 140mm or 170mm.  170 is Single Stack Major or Open. See USPSA Rules Appendix D for the maximum magazine lengths. No limit for PCC.

I shot my 617 all summer for our local Steel Challenge Matches and had a ball shooting in the RFPI.  It's what I like.  It would be nice and I know of a few more shooters that want to come out and shoot their .22s as well.  There are no prizes at the local matches so why not let them at least be recognized in Practiscore for their efforts?

Match Director can add Divisions in PractiScore under Shooters.  Just created a test match as SCSA, and added RFWI and RFWO (W for wheelgun, RFRI and RFRO already used for rifle).

The way we do it, is if someone reshoots a classifier by choice (outside of a mandatory reshoot), we add another shooter entry and leave the original score. Both scores are uploaded to PractiScore and USPSA. So you end up with an extra entry for the shooter at the bottom of the results because they only shot 1 stage, and USPSA gets their activity fees.

The sub-minor does NOT give you a bump to Open. It gives you ZERO scores regardless of the declared division.

Area 2 a while back, Open Major declared; made major but mag didn't fit gauge. They had to mark me as sub-minor to properly get to no score.  The slash in my earlier post was to indicate failed equipment check OR sub-minor.

Excellent explanation of the slowing down part. One of the things I'm working on is calling my hits. If I had this past weekend I'd have won my division against an A and M class SS shooters. Instead I was second. I'm a c class currently. I also needed to not step out of the shooting area for 2 shots but according to the math the two Mike's and one No shoot being c shots would have gotten me the win. Even with the foot faults.

Hits while faulting should be scored as shot, plus the procedural(s) per occurrence or per shot if significant advantage.

If everyone does their part it makes the match a lot more enjoyable.   That said at the young age of 72, my most important equipment is my chair.  Wait for it.  That said I make sure that when I am not on deck not reloading my mags, I get up outa that chair and I go to the  most distant target or steel tape or reset.   The reason for this is to get more exercise and that folks will help me shoot more matches because I will live longer, and each time it will be easier because the more you do the more you can do.

Are you entering your all of your information into Practiscore correctly? USPSA number, your full name? I have a good number of people who enter their numbers incorrectly every month or register with some nickname. Your registration needs to match what USPSA has listed for you.

If name and number don't match, the USPSA upload process requires manual verification. Yes, Dave X and James X are the same person for A12345. Joined USPSA as James X, but normally goes by Dave X.

  8. Shooting USA coverage of precision rifle matches shows an RO with two timers attached to a stick. Precision rifles are typically suppressed. I don't know how the timers a/er synced.  Back to PCC: An AMG Labs timer can be remote started from a PractiScore tablet and clipped to the shooter.
