  1. Alll sorted out now, i still want both
  2. Thanks for the kind words, ' Mo Hepworth: im just using a 1/2 horse power bench buffer using 1 cutting cloth and 2 polishing cloths. ive got a 12lb recoil spring cut to around 11lb, as the gun now shoots .357 sig. It was very nasty on the slide stop when i forgot to take the 6lb recoil spring out. the hammer spring is 13lb I havent had any problems with rusting, its true that polishing/sanding will remove the stainless finish and its benifical properties, i always keep my gun nice and oiled up and heaps of silica gel baggies in my safe.
  3. Ive just polished half of my gun while its not in action because of the broken trigger bar. it still needs alot of work to make it nice and shiney.
  4. No Worries, im just in the process of ordering one off your site.
  5. I was just stripping my gun to clean my trigger assembly and it turns out the trigger bar has snapped! the trigger bar has seemed to have just broken in half just under the seer at the most rear ward point its a very clean break. I thought this was really odd. has anyone else had a problem like this? i havent noticed any problems with the gun before but im tucking the gun away untill i get a new trigger bar.
  6. will you send parts to Australia? not mags or anything just FP etc.
  7. Crushed garnet might be a suitable additive to paint maybe using something like a resin coating might work.
  8. Hi guys, ive just been on hennings website and had just watched the video clip on his custom grips. I like this idea so much that ive decided to make my own of a similar design. So far ive been gathering the measurements of my hand and current grips. I plan on creating a mold from lead then injection molding grips using aliphatic diisocyanate which is like a very hard rubber simmilar to what is used in hogue grips (because im using a rubbery material i might need to tap in another grip screw to ensure it holds). Ill keep you all posted on how it turns out pics will be up soon.
  9. Apparently new IPSC rules will be imposed in Jan/Feb for Australia, 357 sig will be the new major, it will really be a great thing because the Australians will be able to compete internationally fairly. I cant wait! vous: Sorry Vous, i wasnt thinking straight, (A few too many beers) there is a max projectile diameter of 38. sup for IPSC, every with the addition of having a large cal licence ya can only shoot max .38 super in IPSC.
  10. In Australia the max we can shoot in IPSC is 38 super, dew to laws prohibiting .38 + calibres without completing certain matches and getting a special grade licence. thanks for all your help, as im trying to make major in ipsc. more points we dont have any restrcitions on projectile diametre, sorry im kinda new to these forum and im still working things out hehe. sinsky: i cant get any of those mags, the max limit is 10 rounds per mag in aust but ill be getting one of those X-Long firing pins cheers guys
  11. Hi, ive just recently picked up a nice tanfoglio custom limited. Iam wanting to convert it to make major power factor in ipsc, (there are strange laws in australia, regarding the use of 40cals) But i was wondering what was involved in the transformation, apart from new 40cal mags, and a reemed barrel. Thanks
