  1. Ended up in 1st place in my division in Kata and 2nd place in my division in Sparring. I'm currently only a white belt and it was a blast. Everyone there from white to black belt was very nice and supportive. My Instructor is Master Oliver Miller, he's been performing martial arts since 1973 and at one time was World Kickboxing Champion for 4 years and 7 years National Champion. I think I actually had more fun doing that TKD competition than I do shooting competition. :surprise: Definitely a helluva lot cheaper LOL

Had to fight a purple belt for Sparring and that lady had some powerful kicks. Powerful kicks that I blocked with my shins, which are now bruised pretty good. Oh well, part of it.

I test for yellow belt next month and can't wait for more :)

  2. I'll probably mock it up just like my TS which has a magwell and mag basepads etc. Which I guess it can be a back up 3gun gun.

Though not sure if the Kadet 22 mags will seat properly in a magwell. Maybe buying the Kadet is better for practice on the cheap.

  3. Chuck b wants this badly. Check with him. I think his name is samuel adams on here.

Ah, I didn't mean my first post as a for sale post. Just meant I picked it up LNIB for $400.

  4. I mostly bought it just to have another CZ :) Just debating whether I want to spec it out like my TS as a backup 3gun/Limited gun or keep it stock. Yeah I guess the SA makes it illegal for production. Hmm.. guess I'll just have fun with it at the range.

  5. LNIB for $400. I swear it hasn't been shot. Though its got the competition style hammer and the trigger is nicer out of the box than my TS.

Sucks it only came with one 16rd MecGar mag and two 10rd mags. Guess I can always sell the 10's to someone in a commie state and pick some others up. Gotta figure if I want to set this up similar to my TS or keep it stockish for Production/IDPA.

  6. I just have to say, after I had cash in hand and they received the item and were satisfied with it that was the end of the transaction. I couldn't refund the money after that because it would probably be spent at the moment I received the confirmation of them picking it up and acknowledging their satisfaction. If it was a catastrophic failure I would probably pay for shipping to the item/s manufacturer but that would be it UNLESS specifically specified in PM's or Emails.

  7. 18 U.S.C 922(k) states "It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to...possess or receive any firearm which has had the...serial number removed, obliterated, or altered and has, at any time, been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce"

Works for me. Guess I got my straight answer.

  8. I've had a Droid X for about a year and a half and am ready to dump it for an iPhone. I guess this 4S will be the one I go for. The Droid is pretty nice but, having everything else Apple at home just makes it seamless. Plus the Android Market really blows in comparison to the App Store. I think the ONLY thing I will miss when I switch to the iPhone is Swype keyboard.

  9. Have been wanting to chop my CZ Tactical Sports frame down to look similar to the CZ Custom CTS. In the process of chopping the frame I would be chopping off the part with the serial number. Now the part I hate is not being able to get a straight answer about whether this is legal or not. Some say a "qualified" gunsmith can do it but, what makes them so qualified that they can do it and I cannot. I figure as long as the frame has the exact same serial number and easily visible on the exact same side it wouldn't be a problem. I'm about to just either give up messing with it or pay someone to cut it down and then at a diagonal so as to not remove the serial number.

The ONLY thing I can see about a "qualified" gunsmith would be that they have an FFL and I do not and that this somehow makes it to where they can relocate serial numbers.

  10. Maybe what I will do is start right next to the serial number and cut straight down until I reach the diagonal area then cut at an angle. Could give a very different look. I just want it to look like the CTS without having to spend that much money on another blaster. Need to get that extended safety as well.

    Sigh, decisions decisions. Haha

  11. As far as I know the CZ TS's frame is just a sprayed on finish. I've heard it eventually flakes off after a bunch of use. Not too worried about that part, will probably just spray the end of the dust cover with some silver spray paint.

So what is the difference between a qualified gunsmith and just a regular run of the mill gunsmith when involving re-engraving serial numbers?

The reason I was wanting to avoid sending the frame off was because I didn't want to be without the pistol and I don't really wanna pay a bunch of money for something that seems to be an easy job. Getting nearer to the end of the year also means most peoples guns are going to be at the gunsmiths as well.

... Maybe I'll sell the TS and buy a CTS or, pick up this LNIB CZ75 SA my local funstore has.

  12. This is a notorious problem according to one of the remington smiths I spoke to. The junction of the magazine & extension is pinching the spring. His solution was to assemble the magazine tube and before completely tightening, bump the stock on the floor a few times to get the spring out of the tube/extension junction.

Sounds like a simple enough fix if it works. Will try that in a bit.

  13. Yeah I saw that pic but, my serial number is only like 1/2" from the end of the pistol. That pic would take the whole thing. I thought maybe I could just re-stamp the serial number on the frame. Sigh, maybe I'll just sell my TS and buy a CTS.

  14. Noticed that sometimes even after cleaning my shotgun that trying to put the 7th shell in the tube can be a true pain in the arse. It seems like it almost gets stuck right where you put the shells in. What I'm thinking is its got something to do with the 1st shell exiting the stock magtube and into the mag extension. I guess either the orange plastic follower gets stuck at that transition or maybe one of the shells do.

Any tips on getting this fixed? It doesn't happen everytime but, when it does it takes a fair amount of pressure when inserting the 7th shell to get it to fix. The magtube extension is the stock one that came on the Remington 1100 Tactical.
