    Don't forget this is from their "custom shop" too... <_< And it has been on the market for MORE than enough time to have been "fixed" by Sig.

    Bruce, et al should NOT have to be the R&D department for such a well established company...this is Sig Sauer we are talking about not "little johnny's basement gun corp"

    FWIW...my X5 tactical which is/was aluminum never had these issues...just the big stainless one I had...

    Bitter...maybe - better educated for sure.

    I don't keep guns around that I don't feel I can trust...old sigs yes...new sigs...not so much

    deep woods off is only aout 30% deet...you can buy the 99.7% at bass pro shop...maybe next time. Be sure not to get it on anything plastic or synthetic like your tent, watch etc...of course it isn't great for your health either... :eatdrink:

    Mom had a yellow jack nest in her front yard. Brilliantly I waited until dark to pour the gasoline in to their hole prior to detonation. The dampness at night preventing them from flying. Fire tends to lessen this affect....but now you must increase gas....

    Since they kept coming out of the little hole I decided to dig. I dug a hole the diameter of a basketball and that is what their nest was like a paper ball that big. :surprise:

    I dug, poured, and relit (repeat repeat repeat ) for over an hour trying to burn them out...

    Sorry for the discussion just a warning that those little holes in the ground lead to bigger...situations.

    THe bug juice that I use..bought at Wally-bass-box store is 99% DEET...deep woods off is ~30 maybe (not looking at cans right now)...that stuff will eat plastics with single exposures eg cheap watches will be toast. I never apply it near anything downwind...tent, car etc.

    I hate bugs more than I love my liver :surprise:

    I would not get it on MY Pmags.

    Looks like I'll be wheels up in few weeks!

    I've got all the details worked out except telling my mom -not sure mother's day is the best time though...so dont' spill the beans on face space please.

    This is only a 1 year gig...tax reduction if out of the US for 330 of 365 days.

    My access to the benoverse is still in question but unlikely. Although I'm sure to get out for some free inter-air frequently.

    I thought about bears...I'm not sure many of the teardrops I've seen would protect from a determined grizzly either...hard side or not. Especially since the kitchen in in the same little box as you. :surprise:

    We've had some recent black bear issues in Kentucky lately and I'd rather not test my build skill against one of those either...all I know is if a bear comes knocking my shelter is going to smell up pretty quick :sick::ph34r:
