Man, I'm getting a lot of flak, I can't count how many people have called me a sandbagger.
Did I say that? Oh yea I did. Anyway congratulations on your B class win. You are shooting really well and that classification is going to catch up to you sooner or later. Keep it up.

Space City Challenge 2007 will be formatted like last years match. RO's and staff will shoot on Friday and possibly a few competitors. The majority of the shooters will shoot Saturday and we will have small squads shooting on Sunday. I thought it worked well last year so we are doing it again. I am trying to put together a very good prize table. My goal is to give away at least 10 guns, of course this depends upon sponsor and shooter participation. It won't be 10 really expensive pistols but I am trying acquire 10 firarms that anyone would be proud to win. The match has sold out early in years past so get your apps in early.

Slowly but surely trying to put the match together. I need RO"s in the worst way if interested please let me know. I also am working on sponsors and have several already lined up and working on more.

I use to switch sear springs - under 2lbs for matches 3.5 to 4lbs for duty I kept the light sear spring in a prescription bottle so that it would not get bent, when out of the gun, I never had a problem.

Not to take anything away from Jimmy and Artie's efforts because they run a great match. But, it used to be limited guns only. It is not the Texas State Limited, Limited 10, Production, Revolver Match. I say shoot whatever you want that will qualify in the limited division and everybody is scored as Limited.

I used to unlock and keep unlocked on the LAMR command. Now I LAMR put the pistol back in the holster, lock it down and draw from a locked holster. Just practice drawing from a locked holster in little or no time you won't even notice you are unlocking on the draw and your gun stays secure. Besides, I would sacrifice a little speed for a retained gun.

I am on the fence. I have a beautiful rail gun I would love to shoot in the SS division, but I also have a beautiful pistol or 3 (doesn't evryone own at least 2 1911's if not they should) without rail I will enjoy shooiting in the SS division. Do I think rail guns will offer a compettitive advantage? I don't think they will, talent and skill will rise to the top. I wonder if Rob Leatham could beat me if he was running a pistol without a rail? Yea. Could he beat me with a rail? Yea. could he beat me with a stock reliable Springfield Mil-spec? Yea. As could many other shooters. I believe to many people try to rely on equipment to enhance performance, and I am guilty of the same but equipment does not win the matches, skill does.

How about the results?

Is there any danger in using large rifle primers in 45 acp loads? I know small rifle primers are commonly used in 38 supers and some 40 S&W loads without problems.

I carry a STI Eagle and an Edge to every big match. My ejector broke in the middle of a stage in the 2004 Space city classic. I went to the truck and got out the Edge. It is now my primary gun. I could not have fixed the Eagle on the range. One of the feet that stick down into the frame broke off and had to be drilled out by my smith

Are the rest of the standings anywhere to be found?
Thanks

Where can complete results be found?

I am going to mount a scope on my RRA flat top. What is the best way to go about it? Buy high or super high rings, get a flat top riser or buy a combination riser and rings. I thought I was doing good and bought medium height rings but quickly found that the scope was sitting so low I could not get low enough on the rifle. Any opinions would be appreciated.

My 2 cents I would not have DQ"ed him after being allowed to shoot the course of fire. I think a warning would have sufficed, it was not an agregious offense.

5.33 seconds with 58 points hit factor of 10.8818. worked out as a 92%+. back in 1999 have not been able to duplicate it.

We had a slow start in receiving match applications for the 2007 Space City Challenge but we are catching up. If you plan on joining us please send your app's in ASAP. We are growing closer to our goal of giving away 10 guns, I have a SS Springfield Mil spec pistol ordered that Ed Van den Burgh is going to customize for us Also have a custom 10-22 rifle that has been promised. I am going to work on more guns and prizes. it is easier when you know who and how many are coming. Thanks
