  1. Sorry I loaded the file but didn't attach it
  2. Reloading tonight and pulled a piece of rubber off the de-priming pin and this was inside? Anyone seen this before
  3. The DAA Deluxe appear to have almost half a pouch which would give it the typical direction. I have seen the round ones and agree it likely stays the angle you attach them but may move around when moving.
  4. Do you run 4 of them? That's a lot of paint!
  5. if so why do you prefer if over standard pouches? I need to get at least one and was considering the DAA Deluxe Mag Pouch. I shoot limited and was considering getting 4 and just make it standard for me. I have read about people getting stuck to trucks etc. and was wondering if the mags come free pretty easily. Or is it best just to run one and use it as needed. I like having all my mags in case I need them Thanks in advance Gunnar
  6. That makes sense. I never thought about it bc I generally don't use it in limited
  7. Does anyone know the difference between slide stops sold as 45 vs 9/38 etc? I thought they were all the same. Thank you Gunnar
  8. Good ole gunbot showed me the way to some powder and had it in my cart. Went to grab my wallet and check out. Some one took my powder out of "my cart". I emailed the company and got the tough luck speech. Apparently you need to have all your info stored there to have a chance. Luckily found some locally and if someone tried to get it out of my cart, they would have come back with a bloody nub.\ Lesson learned
  9. Well, I have been inspired by all that is here and have been slowly collecting parts for one build and updating/dressing up some old bullseye guns my father had for our games for my sons. It looks like I will be getting the G0704 and I was thinking of getting it from Midwest Machine Works. Does anyone have any experience with them?
  10. I am doing my research and many have said I need I need a minimum 9x20 table. Is it necessary? My plan is to do mostly 1911 work. Is the 9" need for say 2" face mill? What parameters would help me determine the table size?
  11. Great Thread! I have wanted to do this for some time and my wife hates you all for inspiring me to get off my duff. I have almost finished my Cerakote booth and have installed an oven in the garage. The mill idea is burning a hole in my empty pocket. I have been reading this forum and surfing for what is out there mill wise and based on that research I have found that a Grizzly G704 is $1200 the conversion is 3600 + 4800. The G0619 $1850 conversion 6200 = 8050. Tormach 7700 $6850 kit is $16K. I have realized over the years I need to use the tractor theory - find the size you need and buy the next larger tractor. Then apply the stump grinder theory - any size stump grinder will finish the job, it just depends on how long you want to be there. My questions are: Do you get what you pay for? Are larger machines just faster? I am trying keep this purchase reasonable. Any help will be greatly appreciated Thank you Gunnar
  12. I appreciate everyone's help. I thought I had "followed" my own post(rookie) and thought no one was responding. So got impatient an spoke with Matt at M2i and he has it now(he did the trigger originally some time ago). My thoughts were that I didn't want to buy a bunch or parts and not have it work, then have to send it somewhere anyway. Now that I have a back up gun in the future I will try and tackle it myself. Thanks again for the info
  13. I like my Competition Electronics. It runs off a 9 volt and the batteries seem to last forever. It is big though, easier to find in my range bag. I don't own one but use CED's for matches locally. I prefer the CED for their smaller size.
  14. Just getting back into shooting and I like to review my movement efficiency after the match. I have a couple of questions for the group: In general do others use video to improve. I don't see many other doing it? I usually finish 5-10 out of 30+ shooters limited. In the videos I look slow compared to how I feel in the match. Nerves or should I push to go faster? Pivot Head vs. Go Pro vs. Camera man. I was thinking about getting a first person view but not sure it would help me evaluate the stage for movement. Split screen would cool but I don't want to spend the money if it wont help. Any input is appreciated. Thank you
  15. Recently my Eagle started doubling. I lent it to a friend and they used it in a match where after rapid transitions they had some doubles. I never had a chance to shoot it right this happened as I had to take a break from shooting. Now that I have started shooting again, I experienced the doubles myself. I was able to work on the trigger with a friend and in a jig noticed the sear engagement was well, not crisp. After some stoning it was back to its originally glory. We put the gun back together, shot 1.5 matches and it doubled again. Some additional info: I have a very short reset and the trigger is in the 2-2.5 lb area. Is this problem due to grip screws being loose or is there something else I need to check? If it is grip screws, how tight do they need to be and is lock tight necessary? Any help would be greatly appreciated
  16. Pffffttt... I am returning to limited after about a 3yr break and finding I want a more challenging environment so I can get back up to speed. I am thinking L10 would require up to 3 mag changes per stage and a more detailed stage break down(another area I am lacking in). Locally, our club has 6 stages per month. So I could have a potential 18 mag changes on the clock in L10 vs. 6 in limited and have to think about the path a lot more. Generally, when shooting limited there is only one mag change and a choice of path. I think L10 would ultimately make you a better limited shooter after you spend some time there. Are there fewer "free state" competitors in L10?......yes. Is it a place to hide?.... I have to agree with davsco. Its what you make of it
  17. I dont even have the gun yet but want the extension tube
  18. Shot show huh? Im jealous. I have a friend out there now. I just sent him an IM to pick one up for me if he can. I like the concept of the Versa Max but havent even held one. Everyonre seems to like them. Do you know anyone that has tried the Mossberg JM?
  19. Did you do the tactical or just dress up a 26"
  20. Alright, I own an 11-87, 870(not interested in using a pump) and was considering a Versamax(no tacticals available anywhere), some 26" synthetics available and no Benelli M2's longer than 18.5" Any suggestions? Thanks Gunnar
  21. Does anyone know where I can get one? I will even take a Zomie/Gargoyle version. I just can find any anywhere. HELP!
  22. If your 9mm OAL is long, is it necessary to run a spacer?
  23. I currently use Pro Ears low profile electronic muffs and like them......except in the summer. I am considering going to electronic plugs. Does anyone have any experience/preferences? I know they can be expensive, but it is difficult to find replacement ears/ear drums these days. Putting price aside, which are they best/best value? Thanks Gunnar
