  1. Holy crap, I tried to order a front sight from Dawson and specified that it needed to have the factory set screw location......but no, what they had in stock used the center location with the useless, small set screw. When I talked to them on the phone, they weren't much help except to tell me they didn't have one and acted like they didn't make one. Anyone have a pic of a Dawson that uses the factory set screw location so I can email it to them?

  2. There are 2 CZ stores, the one you want to go to is at Opletalova 37, right off Václavské náměstí. The magwells they sell there are tough to get here. They are better looking than what CZ custom makes. The t-shirts are cheap enough. I went in there many times when I lived in Prague. Be sure to go to the Army Museum and up to the National Memorial.

  3. It's not really seen much in 3 gun here, but the Baikal Mp-153 is an option. They were sold by Remington as the SPR453. They are sub- $400..I've seen them as low as $316 shipped from Bud's. They'll take 930 bolt handles and certain 870 extensions. I run one in the very, very, limited amount of 3gun I do. They have a huge loading port. Mine runs 100% on 3 1/4 dram stuff, chokes on the walmart Federal bulk pack stuff. They are supposed to run just about anything once broken in well. Here's one being run in Russia...http://youtu.be/iULYoMl02kE

  4. I've only owned SA Tanfos. I know the stacking is attributed to the short hammer spring, but what is the exact cause? Friction? Spring bind? I wonder if you modified the hammer strut (I think these parts are round that go through the spring) to reduce contact area with the spring, would it make an improvement? The CZ part, while longer is also has a rectangular cross section so only the edges contact the spring. I guess you could load the spring with grease, too, to see if it has an effect. I also wonder if a different shaped trigger would change perception of the trigger pull quality. The severe curvature most cause some changes to the way it feels through the travel arc. I know I hate the really curved CZ triggers that come stock in the regular SP-01.....

  5. Yeah, I still might say "eff it" and go shoot IPSC Nats instead. I'll see how much I suck shooting the SP-01 on Sat. I haven't shot a big match with it since Area 4 2010 and only a few USPSA matches since then. It used to be my "go to" gun when I shot IDPA.

For someone who had to be TALKED in to signing up - you sure are excited there Rusty ;-)
