Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. There is alot of games to shoot a 7 shot. You will just have to move in class. Alot shot SSR with 6 shots.
  2. Problem is there are no "good speedloaders" for the 7 shot that I am aware of HKS slow loaders are the only ones I have seen in the US market. I have had good luck with maxfire speed loaders out of my 7 shot 686. They take some getting use to but they work pretty well.
  3. Save your money. Moon clips are expensive a bitch to unload you need a tool to extract them out of the moon clips and the moon clips bend easy and bind. Use some good speed loaders they are comming back.
  4. The only thing it would make things easier in my opinion would be a electronic scale. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/05450...pg?t=1198335780
  5. Yea I know what your are saying but don't you think dillon would come up with something like this. You would not have to take nothing apart to replace the shell head. On my RCBS single press the shell holder just snaps in. I don't think it would be dangerous but you are right I would not want anyone to get hurt by trying something stupid.
  6. I have a 550B and and think the different shell holders you have to buy are kind of expensive. I do not have alot of shell holders but got to thinking if you have one big enough to hold a RCBS shell holder which cost $2.00 something I do not remember the last time I bought one but it could save you some money. I just have a Dillon 357mag shell holder and it looks like a Dillon 44mag shell holder would be awfully close. May be someone can try this out and see if it works.
  7. Maybe on some wood grips but the spring kit fits fine on my wood grips. The screw goes right through the middle of them on these. Here is a pic. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/05450...pg?t=1197754010
  8. I just use the blade of the screwdriver I used to take out the sideplate screws. With a little practice, it gets pretty EZ! I use the blade of a screwdriver also. I installed springs before in S&W revolvers but this time I just slipped or forgot how I used to do it. I am just wondering if the tool makes it alot easier.
  9. Thanks. It already brought tears to my eyes putting the rebound spring in with out the right tool I got a nice boo boo with my trigger springs. I really do not want to go to light because it is really hard to find Federal primers around here. And what they charge you for hazmat fees to get them on the internet is nuts. I really like the springs real nice trigger reset. I did some polishing also. The inside of the frame was a mess will all the mill marks. Just plain rough. It really smoothed things up alot. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/05450...pg?t=1197469642 http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/05450...pg?t=1197470590
  10. Has anyone tried the jerry Miculek spring kit?. Does it really improve the double action on revolvers?.
  11. You guys will laugh at this one. The good old H&R. Its really accurate and tough. It has about the same double action pull as my 686 SSR. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/05450...pg?t=1196713438
  12. Thats a good idea with the light. I got to figure out how to mount it on my 550B.
  13. You could go this route also. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/05450...pg?t=1194272902 EDIT just read you are looking for a 8 shot.
