Shot Fall Classic Friday and had my mags in my singlestack 1911 drop or at least come unlocked from gun 5 or 6 times including after the activator popper on a clamshell-not good. Any ideas? I'm using Wilson 10 round mags in a Wilson gun. My release button spring seems strong and I cannot simulate the problem in dry fire by moving my hand around or spueezing to much etc. I have never had a problem of locking in a new mag after a change---its a very positive lockup. Brazos is still in the running for my first open gun. He offers a offset scope mount. What do you guys think of this. My gut impression is that it might bug me not having the scope sitting over the bore of the barrel. Thanks, Michael

Going to have an open gun built. Should I go with 9 or 38? I had decieded on 38 super but It seems like everyone around here is switching to 9. I am concerned about reliability and how they shoot compred to a 38. I want a full size 5" gun. By the way I have never shot a 9 open gun and have shot a 38 super open very, very little. See what you guys think of this. I have taken a common laser pointer and taped it to the side of my singlestack for some DF training. This was an attempt to see if I have a good trigger pull and just how well I hold on the target. I was always told that dot sights will really magnify an individuals movements. Am I getting the same results as a dot sight? Thanks,Michael

My supplyer sent me Zero JHP instead of my usual Zero FMJ round nose. (2000) I NEVER have any feeding problems with the FMJ at an OAL of 1.250. Zero recomended 1.200-1.220 for the JHP. I am loading them at 1.210 and have about (10) FTF per 100. Can anyone give any suggestions? I have never loaded JHP before and it looks like I am stuck with them. After much research I have narrowed it down to Bedell or Brazo. I am new to IPSC and this will be my 1st Open class gun. It will be .38 Super Comp in 5" gun. I like the idea of Bedells seperate barrel and comp--Brazo uses STI's Trubore intigrated barrel and comp on his new SC line (which is the one I am considering). I am looking for owner reviews. Who's got'em and how do you like them? Any input, as always, is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Michael

Just started shooting IPSC with about (4) matches under my belt along with a lot of steel plate matches. Yahoo! I am completely hooked! I curently shoot a 1911 .45 but want to move into a doublestack STI/SVI. I have shot a few Open guns and simply love to shoot them. The question is in this stage of my shooting, do you see a problem with me going to Open or any reason why I should not? What do you all think? Thanks, Michael

This year I am going to start shooting L-10 with my Wilson .45. At present I load a 230 gr FMJ with Vit. N320. I like the way it shoots but is there anything that would work better? I do not want to shoot lead (been there-to messy). Thanks, Michael

I am going to begin reloading .45 for IPSC and IDPA very soon. Want to load major with 200gr LSWC with TG, Clays, or VV. I have narrowed down my selection to a Dillon 550 along with all the misc. stuff. Would like a recomendation on the best set of dies to use. Also an opinion on shooting the lead bullets. I read that they tend to produce a lot of smoke. Could you elaborate on this and how to get around this. How about prefered brands of bullets and some primo loads for LSWC. Thank you all so very much. I have picked up a tremendous amount of info from your forum.
