I think it is also best to use glasses with the least amount of tint. That is to say, pick a shade that will allow the most light through, without the need to squint. I like light bronze or vermillion.
I think Brian mentioned this about glasses, somewhere at some time.

See thru the peep, focus on the tip of the front sight. Do not "try" to center the front sight in the aperture window. A .040 aperture is too small for me, especially in less than optimal light conditions, shade, etc.

My connection to the 'interwebs" here in Tucson is a fast pipe. I had the same result as Patrick (but I am #221 on the waiting list at 15 sec. after 5:00). As far as can tell, the match was full in less than one minute. Or maybe because: "Registration Date: Oct 21, 2013 12:01:19 AM" I time jumped to midnight when I clicked and was seven hours late. Stupid me.

I just tried some Concannon Irish Whiskey. It is finish aged in Concannon Petit Sirah barrels. Not for everyone, but I like it with a nice Padron maduro cigar. Concannon is made by the Cooley distillery in concert with Concannon Vineyards.

Two things about the 22R.
1. Find a working ignition module at a junk yard, bag it up and stash it some ware on the truck.
2. Listen for timing chain slap and grind at about 100K, don't let the chain eat through the water jacket.

I filed the dovetail part of an old 1911 hardball type sight to fit the Benelli barrel. It turned out that the hardball sight was just the right amount higher than the stock Benelli rear sight to hit 3 inches high at 50 yards.
It is alot easier to file down the front sight. I did that on the backup Benelli. So far I have not needed the backup.

My Dad used it; I think he got it from the guys from down south that came to work at Pontiac Motors in Detroit. Dad was swede from Minnesota.
