  1. what parts are "really" needed to make the conversion from .40 to 9mm for a Dillon 650?
  2. does anyone know how often they update the classifications (once a month, week, etc)?
  3. aaaaaaaaahhhhhh.....now that makes sense.
  4. so everyone moves the gun into their strong hand to reload? (the classifier in question is the Golden Bullet Standards 06-06)
  5. is there somewhere in the rulebook that defines a reload as an exchange of a different mag? The reason I'm asking is that I have to do a weak hand reload during a classifier, and was wondering if I could just drop the mag into my strong hand, and then put it back in? (I have a feeling I know the answer, but just wanted to see)
  6. May I suggest a trip to sigforum.com, or better yet, talking to Bruce Gray, or Scott Folk (or anyone at Grayguns, you can find their info at www.grayguns.com). You'll find many threads devoted to extractor issues with the X-5 and P220. I know from personal experience (I own an X-5 comp.) that Bruce can work his magic on your gun better than Sig can. I got the XLP on mine and have no other issues with it.
  7. I bought 4 of Brazos tuned 140mm mags with grams pads.
  8. I just left an email for Atlanta Arms what their price is for a 1000 of .40 180g long.
  9. I'm currently shooting Limited minor and am just shooting WWB 9mm. seems to work out fine, but now I bought a Brazos Limited in .40. What brand and type of .40 ammo would you recommed for someone who hasn't got into the reloading scene yet?
  10. Thanks! I knew there had to be a reason.
  11. I've seen magazines (for STI pistols) advertised to either lock or not lock back the slide. In what circumstance would I not want to lock the slide back when it's empty?
  12. I just shot a match using my X-5 comp in 9mm (lim/minor) that I had Grayguns work on and I did suprisingly well. Shot 4 out 6 stages clean. I can no longer blame the gun!
  13. Just finished my 1st match on Sun. The good news: I didn't shoot myself or anyone else. Better news: I LOVE IT!! 3rd Sunday of every month is too long to wait.. I didn't come in last and my best score was on the classifier. 15th out of 32.
  14. Various people sell "HatCams" rigs that attach to your head/hat/ear protection and transmit wirelessly to a reciever behind the shooter. From there, you can attach a camcorder or MP4 recorder with A/V inputs to record the video signal. I've actually made a unit like this that uses a really small, fixed-focus camera that is powered by a 9V battery. The camera is mounted on my ear protection, so it doesn't get in my way while shooting. I also have a 2nd camcorder that I have someone film me from behind. Later I use Pinnacle Studio 11 to sync the two videos up, with the 3rd-person camcorder view as the primary screen and my head-mounted camera footage as the PnP. The outcome is very nice. Unfortunately, I've never posted any of the video footage in order to protect the privacy of the people I shoot with. Thanks for the suggestions...It looks like Pinnacle Studio 11 (or 9) is the best chioce for me..
  15. I'm interested in making a video of my practice. I have 2 video cameras and was wondering if anyone knew what gizmo or software could help me make a "splt screen" video of me at 2 different angles. Chris Nagle Huntersville, NC TY-59887
  16. I shoot at Firepower in Matthews. I actually work in Charlotte but moved to Huntersville from CLT 7 years ago. I'm going to my 1st match in Statesville for USPSA.
  17. That answers my question! Thanks!
  18. I'm thinking of entering my Sig X-5 9mm in a Limited match but I'd like not to shoot minor. Are there any factory 9mm loads that would make a major? Thanks in advance, Chris N. Huntersville, NC TY-59887
  19. WOW! A TGO-2 and a 1000 rnds of Speer Lawman .45acp. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa180/CPUFIXER/tgo013.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa180/CPUFIXER/tgo003.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa180/CPUFIXER/tgo004.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa180/CPUFIXER/tgo010.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa180/CPUFIXER/tgo011.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa180/CPUFIXER/tgo012.jpg Now I really can't wait until my 1st match.
  20. Thanks! I'll post pics of my new b-day gift! (hopefully it's not a capgun!)
  21. Just joined the forum and received my USPSA membership # today. (TY-59887). Going to shoot my 1st match 3 weeks from now and can't wait! Have a Sig X-5 9mm (getting worked on by Bruce Gray) a Sig P226 9mm, and hopefully this Friday (my B-day!) I'm going to get a single-stack .45! Chris N. Huntersville, NC
