Maybe the one I picked up this week will put them over the top.

I purchased a NIB 40 Pro on-line a coupe of days ago.
The included fired case is dated December 2011.
Is that recent enough to avoid the known issues or are there some I still need to be on the look out for?

Jimmy - Just some house keeping questions.
Friday afternoon will there be a bay avail to sight in my dot?
What time can we check in Friday?
Can't answer for the available bay.
Check-in (via an email announcement I think) starts at 3:00 - Jimmy said maybe earlier depending on how much help he has.

Thanks MrTizzon!

wound up giving the mag release catch and the mags a tiny tweak before a match. Now they stay in. Still thinking it was the springer mag release like was mentioned but we didnt have time to tear it off before a match and in the grass, was enough of a PITA in the house hahaha.
What did the tweaks entail?

Currently using WST with a 180gn plated flat point. Oal 1.135"
Major 4.8 with stock spring
Minor 3.8 with a #16 spring
Do your recall the temperature at time of chrono? 4.6 gr put me @ 170 PF at 70 degrees.

Jimmy sent an email out earlier today - it said to look for the stages to be posted in the next few days.

Anxiously waiting for the mag well and base pads.

Had the same issue with one of my very first extended mag releases several years ago (do not remember who's it was). Swapped it out with another from the same maker and the problem went away.
On another note, within the last couple of months I have had two brand new Springfield mags to this. It gave me fits for a couple of matches until I finally realized it was not my pistol.
-
Had a chance to fondle one at the LGS today - the trigger was odd when dry firing in the fact that it stayed ALL the way to the rear of the trigger guard (like it was stuck) until the slide was racked. None of my XDs or XDMs do this.
-
They did not fit the mag gauge on my 5.25 tubes. No problem with the Pistol Gear bases.
IIRC you need the Canyon Creek base pads with his mag well.
-
I had a similar issue a couple of years ago - it was a small piece of debris that had worked its way into the trigger and not letting the safety reset.

Are slots still available?

A quick question regarding the rooting - is it possible to have a searchable pdf version of the rules on the Nook Simple after it is rooted following the guidelines in this thread?

Anyone have a suggestion for lodging? This will be my first TX Limited.

I just went through all this myself and after trying the washers (which did work but wasn't ideal) I came across spacers by Speed Shooters Specialties for M&P mags. (M&P mags also don't fit the CR pouches but do fit my stock XDm pouch) So I bought them and they work PERFECT! Very cheap and I think a way better option to the fender washers. Just my $.02
Do you happen to have a part number, or maybe a link to the part?

I've heard they're shooting for July 13th or July 20th.

I thought more about how much I'd pay to simplify my life and save somewhere between 10 and 30 hours of hand scoring this season, and the price of a refurbished iPod touch started to look pretty cheap. I was interested in the Android tablet, but having to root it and run into potential software probs down the road made the iPod look even cheaper. Running everything on the same OS and using iTunes to transfer made it so cheap, I couldn't afford not to buy an iPod.
Probably a wise choice, but I got a lot of people at one club who already have android smartphones and tablets, so I have to get familiar with that side of it as well. Is there any non-specialized android tablet around that is wifi only and doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
Post #15 has a link to a decent deal.

I'm looking to lighten the mag release spring a bit, when it's cold I have a hard time getting the mags to drop free consistently. Does anyone have a link to a source that would show me how to do this properly?
Thanks
...and move to Central Texas where mags drop freely in the warmer weather.

Look at Dawson Precision in the vendor's section - they're expecting to release one soon.
