  1. ... .. ..I use a chunk of old mud-flap off a diesel truck to hammer on. You could also cut the soul off a old shoe and put on your bench to hammer on...Works good...
  2. .. .. ...I Kind-a like the G33 myself.

... Is there any advantage to having a noncaptured guide rod ??
  4. ..The "G" is for Glock, Right? lol.

  5. ... ... .. Although the G26 is a "sub-compact", I have one that I use on my G32, It's the Advantage Arms, and it works great. It like's the CCI stuff but it will run the Rem. Gold bulk stuff with no problem.... If you get one, just for fun sometime get a box of CCI Stingers. ...Powerfull, Fast. and a big fireball at no extra cost..
  6. ....Every gun and every barrel will be different, they have their own personalities, They don't know, or care how much the ammo. cost, they only know what they like. Ya just have to spend the time trying different ammo. to find out what it likes and makes it happy.
  7. .... I like a 180gr. with 3.8 of W231 or 3.7 Tight Group. It don't get much softer than that, and very accurate too. Check this link out. http://www.handgunsmag.com/ammunition/40li...806/index1.html
  8. Interesting Screen name!

  9. With Winning In Mind is a great book. I should point out that Brian Enos...our HOST...carries this book!!! http://brianenos.com/store/books.html As does forum dealer and shooting buddy, Steve Anderson!!! http://andersonshooting.com/winning.htm They both carry each others books, as well as Saul's book (mentioned earlier). And, if anybody is buying anything from Amazon, then you can order by first clicking on link on the USPSA website. That gives USPSA a commision fee for anything that you buy at Amazon...without costing you a penny more. http://www.uspsa.org/dw/associates.html I should point out that Brian Enos...our HOST...carries this book!!! http://brianenos.com/store/books.html . ..And a "GREAT BOOK" it is!.... Givin one to my Brother for xmas, He's into target Archery.
  10. ...I have been wondering that same thing!... I have a L/W 9mm. conversion barrel for my G32, Had it for about three years now and I'm only now starting to like it. For two years I tried every store bought brand and gr. weight ammo avalible. It wouldn't group worth a crap, Best group I could get out of it was football size and shape, high right at 10 yds. and they would keyhole. But with the 357 sig barrel in it I could get silver dollar size groups at 10 yds. One day while I was working with it at the indoor range I rented a G23 and slipped the 9 conversion barrel in it,,,,,,,,,,,, Same thing. Turkey platter groups. At least now I knew it was the barrel and not the gun.................. I have been reloading for about a year now and finely found what the barrel likes........................ .357 Yup .357 di. bullets, It will now shoot nice tight groups and punch clean hole's.
  11. Here is one that I load, It's soft and very, very accurate in my G23! Rainier 180gr. FP 3.8gr. W231 1.128 OAL. Same load using 3.7gr. of Tight Group is soft and accurate also.
  12. .... He stated that it is VERY important that everyone go to this website and comment on the proposed changes. I agree that something needs to be done...But what ? Sure they say it's "VERY IMPORTANT" for everyone to go to "their" website and respond, That's exactly what they want, And "their" hoping it will be thousands. OSHS can instate this with no vote from anyone other than their board members which include Kenedy, Clinton and Obama. So even if it don't go into effect, They now have a direct link to all the responders that has guns. .........Think about it!
  13. Thank's for welcome, and reply's.... Anyone out there use W231 for the 357 sig.?? I've only seen one load listed in a reloading manual, and that was for a 90 gr. bullet. What about a load for 124 gr. Rainier FP. anyone got one? Thanx....
  14. ..... Howdy All! New guy here, I've been lurking around here for awhile checking our all the great info. "Great Site" I've tried the search but didn't come up with much, "guess I'me not using the right word's" I wish there was a 357 sig. area in the sub-fourms. QUESTION.. What is some of your favorite powder's and plinking bullets for loading the 357 sig. ? Thanx. Brian for this great site!...
  15. .... .. ..Howdy all.... New guy here, first post.. I have a G32 and have a G23 barrel for it also, Kevin Kline is right on with his assessment on recoil between the 40 and 357......Also have a G27 and a G33 barrel for it. "And yes they pack a good bark". I pack the sub-compact, "Easier for me to conceal" If I was a larger person I would pack the G32. There's just something special about the 357sig..
