My Son operates a metal fabrication business near Las Vegas and we are working on an all-metal version similar to the one in question. Of course, it will be slightly heavier but very durable. I will be putting it through the paces at Richmond HotShots Range in Northern California when completed. We have no plans to market it .... I just want a reliable platform for Revolver competition.

700-X Powder for .38 Super Revo ...
AultGM replied to AultGM's topic in ICORE Rules and Membership Information
I'm definitely going to give it a try, since the powder was dirt cheap when I bought it several years ago. Just hope it is still safe for reloading purposes (sealed container). -
I have a 5 lb. can of 700-X Powder that I've been wanting to "burn" up and I found a couple of interesting loads for .38 Super on the Internet ... Anyone out there have experience with 700-X in .38 Super ... especially for Revolver (major & minor loads) ... ?

Finally, someone who actually has experience with this (price range) scale. I'll just go ahead and buy a good one and be done with it. Thanks for your honest opinion ...

Are you stating THIS Scale will not hold it's zero ? I know the other scales you listed are recommended, but I rarely reload anymore and won't be competing in anymore National Events as the effects of old age have caught up with me, so I just wanted something other than the Beam Scale I have used in the past and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I really wanted to know if anyone has ACTUALLY had good or bad experiences with THIS particular scale. Thanks for your reply ... http://cgi.ebay.com/Digital-Pocket-Scale-0...1QQcmdZViewItem

Has anyone here owned or used one of these scales ? If so, is it accurate enough for reloading purposes ? http://cgi.ebay.com/Digital-Pocket-Scale-0...1QQcmdZViewItem

Where can I buy .40 cal. 155 round nose bullets ?
AultGM replied to AultGM's topic in Miscellaneous BEginners
I'm gonna try some in my 6.5" 610 wheel gun for IPSC and the 4" 610 for IDPA. -
Where can I buy .40 cal. 155 round nose bullets ?
AultGM replied to AultGM's topic in Miscellaneous BEginners
Thanks for the Bear Creek Bullets Phone Number. I found this picture of the various .40 cal. bullets they offer. Looks like the 140 gr. RN will do the job for me, so I'll give them a jingle tomorrow. -
Many "moons" ago, I shot 155 gr. round-nose bullets for IDPA and Steel Challenge. They fed & functioned well, and were very accurate. I would like to know where to find several thousand of them on the West Coast. I prefer Moly-coated, but plain Lead or Copper Plated will do.

I listed it in the USPSA Classifieds so as to give a fellow shooter a chance at it prior to a general public offering ... I paid plenty for it when I purchased it, and the Moonclips/Holders are easily another $400.00 retail, so the pistol is actually selling for around $1300.00 ... Please forgive me for even posting this in the Revolver Section ... It should now be in the Classifieds ... I was just curious to know if anyone had heard of a new batch of these revolvers being offered by S. & W. and my question has been answered ... Thanks to all who repllied

IMHO you have as much chance of selling that gun for $1700 as I have of buying one for $400. Bob Check these recent GunBroker auctions, then re-think your opinion ... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=95168296 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=94450440 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=95849971

I have a Like New 627 8-shot .38 Super with less than 200 rounds through it advertised on the USPSA Classifieds at $1700.00 including Case, Accessories, Paperwork, (30) New Hearthco Moonclips, & (10) Shoot-a-Moon Holders ... Some guy just emailed me and said he can buy them all day for $950.00 ... Anyone out there have a line on these at that price ? ... I want to buy a truck load ...

Alternatives to North Mountain 4-Row M/C Holders ...
AultGM replied to AultGM's topic in Revolver Forum
Do a search for speed-e-rack I think you must use Hearthco clips in the speed-e-rack. My 38 special will only work with Hearthco. Ranch and TK fit very loose and can fall out. Thanks a lot ... I found their website ... The Speed-e-Rack is designed well and would serve my purpose if I only had one gun ... However, it appears I have to buy specific models for 627 & 625 ..... and ..... there is no mention of a model to fit the 610 in .40 ....... Soooooooo, I will either try to make my own or buy the North Mountain 4-row ... -
Alternatives to North Mountain 4-Row M/C Holders ...
AultGM replied to AultGM's topic in Revolver Forum
I would be very interested in seeing this setup before I decide what to buy. I need a multi-clip holder that will work well with my 627 .38 Super, 610 .40, and 625 .45 Anyone have a picture and details or a website location where I can view this critter ? -
Does anyone out there offer a comparable multi-row moon clip holder at a more resonable price ... ? $110.00 for Kydex and 4 Steel Posts seems a little pricey to me ...

Just bought a new 610 in 6.5" and will need a Holster for ICORE & USPSA ... I currently have a Blade-Tech for my 627 8-Shot .38 Super, but it would need to be modified to fit the longer barrel ... Should I just go ahead and do that or buy another Holster ... ? Also ordered 30 RIMZ Moonclips from Brownell's, since several of you recommended them ... How about a Moonclip Holder for the 610 ... ? Should I go with a North Mountain 4-5 Row or something else ... ?

AultGM replied to AultGM's topic in Revolver Forum
I got a set of Hornady's Carbide "for cheap" on eBay and will try them ... -
I just realized that I had sold all of my .38 Super Dies last year and now need a set for my New 627 8-Shot .38 Super ... The Hornady Titanium Nitride Set is $40.00 at Midway ... Anyone have an opinion on this Die Set ??

While we're on the subject of Blade-Tech Holsters, where is the best place (price) to buy the DOH Tech-Lok for my 627 5" ... ? Read THIS and then think seriously about supporting Kenney That is where I bought mine I took your advice and emailed Kenny at Speed Shooters Specialties ... He hooked me up with the perfect Blade-Tech Holster and Miculek spring kit for my 627 Super ... PLEASE NOTE: I first called Blade-Tech to order the Holster and was told that I must wait 4-6 weeks for them to custom build it ... Kenny had them IN STOCK and NO ONE else did ... Fantastic Service from a Great Guy ... !!!!

I agree with Scott. Get one of these. Buy part number 352-197-100 it works with the 38 Super, 38 Special, .40, or 10mm. http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/Pro...N+CLIP+STRIPPER Also, I use my Moonsetter tool to hold the clip while demooning. You can go to town with the combination. http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/Pro...LVER+MOONSETTER Thanks to all for the good advice ...

Well, that answers both questions ... I will just look for a used OEM barrel ... Thanks for the info.
