  2. herky,

Good to hear from you again. Never did hear where you went. Hope that you get down to shoot with us again.

After Sat. match at Circleville, and Flex's demonstration with a M&P, I would have to say it is quite capable of playing in Prod. class. I would think(at least for me) I would wait for the 5" M&P 9mm to be available. Especially the "pro" model. They showed them at the SHOT show. It should not be to long before they are available. The "pro" model has adj. sights, 5" bbl., and "hi-viz" type front sight. I think that the 5" bbl. would dappen the flip slightly, but the gun would still be light enough for quick transitions.

  3. I have been using a 4006pc for about a year and half in production. i shot minor 40 cal. Flex turned me on to the minor 40, feeling that it recoiled less than 9mm. I think that is right. The 3rd gen Smiths can have there triggers worked down to very good pulls(3.5/4 #'s in da) There extra weight helps to dampen recoil. Unfortunately the weight also makes transition slightly slower. My wife has a 9mm M&P 4", I do not like it as well. The M&P seems to recoil harder, and muzzle flip more. Both are good guns, and you can do well in prod. with either. Good luck, and enjoy the shooting.
