  1. I'm a newbie so cleaning right now is a learning experience so i am doing it often
  2. Does anyone have experience with both ? if so, which do you prefer ? I like the idea of the Lynx belt, especially being able to remove links if necessary. What i don't like about it is the restriction as to where you can attach your mag pouches. It seems you have to have a fair space between them, you can't have them right next to each other
  3. I have the same issue now, needing to cut down a belt due to some weight loss
  4. Overall i love Double Alpha products, so well made but i have had a few issues being able to tighten ball joints. One was on my DAA Max Holster and one was on a AIP mag pouch (all my other AIP pouches were fine). Even at max tighten, the ball joint would still slip and that is dangerous, in particular for the holster. My solution was to take it apart and put some masking tape over the ball joint and put it back together and i think this has done the trick. I have lost the adjustability as such but at least it will stay in position. Has anyone else had these issues ? I can't ever imagine adjusting the ball joint on a max holster on the fly whilst wearing it.
  5. Even though i can shoot in Production (IPSC), i am currently shooting in Standard, so no DA hammer down. And yes if i switched to Production, i would know that after a round is chambered, hammer needs to be lowered. Thanks for your reply.
  6. I have a new CZ Shadow 2 Orange. I know the gun needs breaking in, right now, racking the slide when the hammer is down is a bit tough. I can do it, but have to use a particular technique to do so (e.g. i can't just pull the slide back with my left hand slingshot style). If the hammer is already pulled back, racking the slide is much easier, is this acceptable in IPSC/USPSA ? So Load and make ready Draw gun from holster, finger always off the trigger Load magazine Pull hammer back with right thumb (again finger well off the trigger) Rack the slide to chamber a round (with left hand). Engage safety Holster gun Is this cool ? Thank you
  7. Thank you both for your replies and info
  8. Hi there I have some questions about what is allowed for ammo carrying during a stage for IPSC shotgun I have read the rulebook. Aside from no Bandoliers, it isn't very specific. I know about the high end IPSC dedicated shotgun belts, for quad loading etc If we park those for a while, can you tell me if the following are allowed ? (for tubular fed shotgun) a) Can you use Velcro side saddles ? if so, can you carry extra velcro side saddles in M4 Ammo pouches (they fit great) on your belt ? or on a chest rig ? and can you carry extra velcro side saddles just stuck with the velcro to a velcro belt ? b) Can you carry shotshells loose in a belt pouch (a heavy duty fanny pack if you like ) ? c) Can you carry shotshells in a belt designed for holding shotshells (has the loops) ? Thank you
  9. Question about IPSC Shotgun divisions. Can you use a recoil pad on your shotgun ? and also a shoulder pad like these ? https://www.caldwellshooting.com/safety-gear/recoil-shields/mens-recoil-shields/ Thanks
  10. So the Glock 34 is not eligible for IPSC production like it is for USPSA production. Looking at 9mm, is there any better option than a bog standard Glock 17 for IPSC production ? Thank you
  11. I am from Australia where gun ownership is way way way more prohibited than other countries, overall not a bad thing. I am getting into IPSC pistol shooting, total newbie, very excited to be getting into the sport.
