Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Seems like all I do on this site is bump old threads, but I love seeing old posts, like going back in time to watch the sport evolve. Is this still legal? I would feel guilty taping up my wrists at a match if no one else was doing it...
  2. I don't have a lot of experience designing stages, nor experience using Sketchup, I just began looking out of curiosity. Trident looks like the quickest and easiest to use in my opinion. I also tried Practisim Designer, which may be somewhere in the middle between Sketchup and Trident Stage Designer. And it's free. Might be worth trying, there are some keystroke shortcuts and program learning involved though, not sure how user friendly it is compared to Sketchup.
  3. Following up for anyone else having Glock double fire issues. In my case, the heavier trigger reset spring has solved the issue. I'm still not sure if I got a bum aftermarket spring or if it was just worn out. Check the reset with slide removed, pushing the connector towards the center of the gun should produce a solid click into place. Hard to describe, but if the sear doesn't move into place fast enough to catch the striker you can get double firing. Too much tension can be even worse than double firing though since that spring is essentially assisting your trigger pull. Don't add so much tension that your trigger pulls itself.
  4. Hi theguncrafterdude, I drove through AR once. Within 15 minutes of crossing the state line I got pulled over for hanging out in the left lane too long while not passing, then caught a rock in my windshield behind an 18-wheeler immediately after! Maybe I'll have to go buy my first 1911 in AR for the sake of redemption
  5. Hi all, New guy here. Got into 3 gun in Southern California about a year and a half ago, shout out to the 3 gun guys at West End Gun Club, thanks for all your help. Moved to Georgia a few months ago and fell in love with the hobby. Started getting into USPSA and still hitting 3 gun matches when I can. The sport is a lot more enjoyable (and safer) using rifles without a hellfighter kit! That's all really. I made another post earlier about an issue I'm having with my Glock 35 that I use for Limited Major, but really just wanted to say hello finally after lurking in the site for a while, seems like a good online community!
  6. Hello, New poster here. This is an old topic, but seemed closest to the issue I'm having. I have a G35 that has doubled at least twice during recent matches. I installed a Pyramid trigger over a year ago and never had doubles until now. I'm hesitant to go to any matches now until I'm confident this won't happen anymore, I highly doubt it's me bump firing, but I guess its possible. (Please forgive me if I'm using incorrect terminology for certain parts) The catch on the striker looks like it's in good condition from what I can tell, with some minimal wear on one side of the sear. I noticed that when manipulating the trigger with the slide removed, pushing the connector in towards the sear didn't produce a solid *click* reset, the trigger bar just kind of slowly slid into place even after completely disassembling and cleaning. So my guess is the issue is with my connector, trigger spring, and/or trigger bar. Possibly a lame reset causing the sear to not catch the striker and slam firing? To my embarrassment, I don't recall if I left the stock trigger spring in or swapped it for the one that came in the trigger spring kit, but I do have both. One is noticeably heavier, so I put in that one and the reset *click* when pushing in the connector is much more solid now, but haven't test fired it yet. If that doesn't fix it, anyone have other suggestions to try before I put the stock trigger back in?
