taadski Posted August 22, 2017 Share Posted August 22, 2017 I know it's perhaps not the answer you're looking for, but I'd suggest just shooting it in SSP. You'll have the benefit of actually having other shooters to compete against too! Seriously though, the 3.9" barreled Sigs are plenty capable of competing against full sized guns. Some actually like the recoil characteristics better in the 228/229 and believe they track a bit flatter than their full sized P series brethren. I'd give it a go as is before whittling on levers, etc... to try and make it fit in the smaller box. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nate89 Posted August 22, 2017 Share Posted August 22, 2017 I agree. Although I shoot a 226 in matches, I carry a 229 regularly. I have done quite a bit of comparisons (shooting the same drills on the clock multiple times with both guns), and The differences are so small that my ability needs to be much better for me to really notice a difference when it comes to match scores.
