  1. ONLY if you're after a ported or threaded barrel, which Sig doesn't even offer.

    P320x5 or....

Gripes re: Romeo1 • not durable, ejecting brass damages the metal lens frame and even cracks the lens. Blah Blah Blah warranty, but you're you're stuck without a dot while it is in for warranty • the rear sight notch is a damn joke. you can only do a lower 1/100th co-witness vs. I dunno a lower .1/3 and it is NOT adjustable • threaded battery compartment, that's just begging to be stripped out.Top access latches are faster/better

Things you hafta think about re: the Canik & the Sig • Canik will have very limited aftermarket mods/upgrades • In OEM form the X-Five doesn't have a provision for BUIS. You can easily modify the RMR mill to accept Leupy DPP (which has an optional ADJUSTABLE BUIS) or a Vortex Venom.IMHO The Romeo 1 SUCKS. In the end shoot what you can shoot best
  4. My ancient Samsung phone makes the ordange tape look pink. It "was" from Springer Precision, they don;t sell the 4 pc kit anymore. You can still get teh 1 pc wraparound from them,
  5. I build holsters, you could "try" to re-shape it and if you want to I'll give you some instructions. You will probably ruin the holster and have a funky looking hunk of Kydex. IMHO just sell the holster, take the loss, and order another made for your Walther. Just my .02 Dave
  6. Is that a lefty appendix carry ? What was the turnaround time on that holster ?
  7. This is hearsay but I thought I read somewhere that M&P basepads could be modified to work with P320 mags. I don;t have any links or sources but I "think" I read that somewhere.

    P320 X5 Thread

I use Wolff Variable Power Recoil Spring 1911 Government (14 lb) with my handloaded "bunny fart" (147gr / 130-135 pf) rounds.

    X5 screws

Negative: the screw thread is 6-48 the length for top mounting an RDS is 9/16. NOTE: mounting the rear Adj. sight plate from underneath takes a shorter length screw(by my calipers 3/16) and I'm not sure wht the head type is to sit flush in the slide. I made the wrong assumption jcc7x7 is correct The X-Five rear iron mounting screws (from the bottom/underneath the slide) are 4-48 x 3/16 To mount an RDS (to the topside mounting holes) is 6-48 X 9/16
  10. Why Johnny Ringo, you look like you've seen a ghost.
  11. I live about 5-10 min from NRA HQ but I don;t shoot there anymore. They're too uptight and I can never get enough time on a lane there. I've been swept one too many times @ Blueridge and the owner is a damn Liberal. Elite is where I go on this side of the river,. If I want to shoot a LOT or all day I go to Maryland Small Arms (yes MARYLAND) near Andrews AFB since you can shoot all day for a one time fee of $20. They let you draw, speed shoot, shoot from prone as long as you're SAFE and not a complete screw-up i.e. you know what you're doing.
  12. This is my EDC bleed kit. Keep in mind this is to mitigate bleeding til I (or someone else) can get to my CERT pack in my vehicle. • Swat-T Tourniquet ($15): small form factor, dual purpose (TQ/compression bandage), easier to use around area like inner thigh. #1 reason I have this on me is it is easier for an UNTRAINED person to apply this to ME. (NOTE: there are 2 C-A-Ts in my CERT pack) • HyFin Vent ($15): for sucking chest wounds • Gloves/Ductape/Ziploc ($3): gloves for other peoples blood, Ductape + Ziplpoc adhoc sealing bandage (ductape is flat-wrapped around an old plastic hotel keycard) • Quickclot Sponge ($10): self-explanatory • Inkzall Pen ($1): to mark TQ time & write injury notes to stick on victim • Aptus Designs Low Visibility Aid Kit (LVAK) ($30): I usually carry this on my ankle. It can be looped on a belt, worn as an armband and worn IWB. Ive also seen it wrapped around a vehicle visor or seat headrest. https://aptus-design-group.myshopify.com/

    P320 X5 Thread

I used BSI IC-2000 rubber infused super glue to keep my Springer Precision panels from sliding around. I used BSI Un-Cure to cleanoff all the adhesive when I replaced my first set of SP granualr grips. You can buy this from Dawson Precision, your local specialty hobby shop might carry it as well. http://www.bsi-inc.com/hobby/ic_2000.html http://www.bsi-inc.com/hardware/un_cure.html
  14. Bolt pattern is the same for the Leupold Deltapoint Pro and Vortex Venom. For the DPP you have to mill 2mmtowards the muzzle end of the existing footprint.

    Polished barrel

The DLC finish on the black barrels is there for a reason to resist corrosion and extend durability. WHY would you want to sacrifice that for the sake of looks ? Look at it this way if you remove the finish of the barrel you will eventually end up buying a replacement anyway, IMHO just buy a new threaded coated barrel ($225) in the color of your choice and keep your original as a spare ?
  16. TTI and Taylor Freelance have +capactiy basepads as well.
  17. The DPP & the RMR are BOTH proven "combat sight systems". Sig is playing catch-up in the MRDS game.
  18. I ditched Romeo alltogether. The Romeo1T rear iron is part of the sheilding shroud/mount plate and from the SHOT Show pics it doesn't look like you can adjust windage/elevation. DPP w/ Adj. BUIS & .430 Dawson front blade is what I am going with. https://www.shootingillustrated.com/articles/2018/1/23/first-look-updated-sig-sauer-romeo1-reflex-sight/

  20. Probably because your Sig rep wants you to believe that the Romeo 1 is the ONLY MRDS you can buy for a P320. It is unique in that is it 2mm shorter lengthwise (forward of the bolt holes) that a DPP or a Venom footprint.
  21. The finish is fragile. Many have reported that ejecting brass has nicked the finish. Even worse some brass found its way to the glass and cracked or chipped it. SIG stands behind the R1 and repaired/replaced them. The BUIS on the R1 is there but I found it diifficult to acquire quickly. I never had issues with mine (since July '17) but I did just sell it to put a DPP on in it's place FWIW. I'm having the slide altered by 2mm to fit the DPP as shaving the DPP voids the warranty and it is more likely to have issues than my X-Five slide.
  22. I have a Fenix TK15UE, when I need carry something with a smaller profile I use my E36UE. Both seem to run FOREVER on 18650/3500mAh batteries.
  23. IIRC the DPP and Romeo1 share teh same mounting bolt pattern. That said I know that to direct mount a DPP to a P320 X-Five you have to extend the footprint on the X-Five slide by 2mm towards the muzzle. SO the Romeo1 should fit the DPP footprint, since it is shorter.
