gee0111 Posted March 25, 2017 Share Posted March 25, 2017 Hey guys I recently got a new Shadow 2 and replaced the firing pin with a CGW extended one after a week. Today after stripping the gun to look over it, I noticed rust on the firing pin and in the channel. Has anyone ever seen this before and have any recommendations on how to prevent it. "Just keep a very light film of good gun oil and it will be fine, put a drop or 2 in the FP channel and blow out the excess with compressed air. plus45acp Posted April 9, 2017 Share Posted April 9, 2017 I utilize WEAPON SHIELD almost exclusively as a firearm lubricant and have found it perfect for this application. I just put a small drop on my finger and work it into the firing pin, clean my fingers with a Q-Tip which i then use to lube the firing pin channel.
