NOT sure about this set up

so i am not new to shoot but i have never shot a legit 3 gun course… id like to keep things simple at first and run something i already have with out dumping tons of cash ( right away anyway )…. so i will milling around the old gun safe and this is what came to mind.. any and all info, pros , cons anything would be great..

so i would like to use my

-7.5 inch 7.62x39 diablo sbr as my rifle

-my all factory sig 226 scorpion

-and my saga 12

any thoughts……. could i even get away with this?

It all works. The Saiga puts you in Open division (magazine fed SG), so that opens up optics possibilities on pistol and rifle.

i am assuming that the open class would not be the best place to start out????

Get to a local club match with what you have, and see what others are using before you spend.

Run it with the gear that you have and then you can figure out if money will go to gear for open or another shot gun and rifle.... 3 gunning is addicting and expensive....

For me, my simple 3 gun set up is

- glock 34

- STAG Model 8 with C-more or Leupold CQT

- FN SLP MK1

i guess my main question is can i run this rifle in a limited or tactical class….????

the shotty is not a huge deal but i love this sbr

Your gear will be perfectly fine for local matches. That rifle will probably give you fits with longer-range targets, but for shorter-range locals, it may be fine. Dont get too caught up in the divisions when you're getting started. At most locals there are only a few in each division anyway. Run what you have for a few matches and see what you like and don't. If you aren't ever serious about winning major matches you may be content to just keep running what you have and having a blast.
