Walther P22

Looking into a Walther P22 and a Gemteck Outback II can.

Does anyone have any type of information on this type of

setup? Do you or someone you know of have or tried one?

Good/ bad information needed.

I have a P22 but no can (yet). I can say that it is a fun pistol, but maybe not worth the usual MSRP. If you look online and plan to fix some of the quirks it will be fun. My wife doesn't like it because it sometimes can't go thru a complete mag without a failure to fire. But it is light, threaded, easy to load and use.

If the cost is getting up there, look for a Ruger or similar and get a TacSol barrel/upper.

My dad has this exact setup right here. Tactical Innovations suppressor. It's a blast to shoot, and quiet. The only downfall is sometimes it doesn't like to cycle with some ammo.

Are your P22's older or new ones? I understand-from

the dlr's they-have fixed the problems with FTF?

I think his is about two years old. It doesn't have any problems with FTF when the can isn't attached, but once you screw the can on, boom, won't cycle cheap ammo.
