boz1911
Usually I am extremely meticulous about my equipment and ammo. Both my gun and ammo will be sparkly before any match but last night I shot a different division with a gun I've done a few mods to recently. During the field course I had a failure to feed and a magazine basically fell apart not to mention some mikes trying to pick up the pace after the malfunctions. This morning I decided to check everything. The ammo I was using was loaded several years ago when I first started in this sport. After checking it with a case gauge I was amazed that about 1 of 10 failed, some failing miserably. I checked the magazine in question and found the spring was dislodged and locked in a compressed state. On to the gun. Found the new Dawson magwell was loose, not to mention the gun was filthy. Did we learn anything from this?? I'll never be that ill-prepared ever again. Edited October 28, 2009 by boz1911
