born-in-45
Anyone know if there is a rule of thumb for the velocity difference you can expect if you use the same powder charge with a 115 gr bullet vs a 124/125 gr bullet? Couldn't find an answer using search but I may not have used the right argument.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: It will depend if you are talking about the same bullet material. The copper of the Zero's are faster than the brass of the Montana Golds. If you are shooting Montana Gold 124 JHP grain bullet and it is 131PF then the 115JHP Montana Gold will be about 117PF with the same powder charge. Does this answer your question? Thanks, Eric
born-in-45
Eric, thanks for the info. That is exactly what I was looking for - using the same everything except bullet weight. When did you move out to Albuquerque? Any chance you're coming to San Antonio for RCSC's Texas Single Stack Shootout on September 27th?
