mda
What is its primary use? When is it preferred over welding? In general to connect or bond two metals parts together. Technical not soldering but a brazing operations(>800 def F). A brazed connection can be taken apart without damage to either part, not likely with a weld. Brazed connection will generally only have about 1/3 the strength of the base metals so will not be as strong as a weld. Connecting a comp to a barrel, attaching a sight to slide may be brazed. Repairing a cracked slide or frame would be welded. MDA
