Leozinho
Lots of new threads about airsoft guns, so I'll throw mine out there even though I know there are not a lot of Sig shooters on this board Which airsoft Sig 226 is the best choice? Main considerations would be realistic sights (matching the factory stock sights), trigger pull, and at least a bit of recoil. I know all the airsoft triggers will be lighter, but I've read one review that sounded like the TM model had a long pull in both DA and SA that matched a real gun. (Most of the reviews out there are from overseas, and the writers have never touched a real gun. )) From surfing the web, it looks like the choices are TM, Tanaka and KWC. As best I can tell, the TM might be the best option. Can't believe I'm considering spending $130 on a toy that shoots plastic BBs .

Without upgraded parts, in a month it will be in a non-working condition. Spend the $$$. Go for it. You will recoup the costs in a month vs. ammo. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=25061 http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=24449 http://www.uncompany.com/pageproduct.asp?L3catid=

Are you referring to the TM P226 specifically when you say it will be in non-working condition in a month, or do you mean all non-upgraded airsoft guns will fail? Thanks. My TM is probably 3 years old at this point. Probably close to 5000 shots from it no upgrades on it other than lubrication of the slide and rails and regular maintance of the mags even shooting green gas it is going strong no problems. Koz From my reading of some of the forums where these guys shoot airsoft IPSC. They recommend upgrading certain parts. These guys are using propane (much cheaper than green gas), and are shooting 10x what you shot in 3 years, they do in 1 year. For example, on the KWA glocks, I learned that the "rocket valve" will eventually break if using propane, and will also break using green gas with heavy use. Mine did on two of the KWA Glocks, both within 5,000 rounds, using propane. I later read on one of those IPSC forums that is one part they recommend replacing right away with a metal part. Remember, these airsoft guns are plastic, aluminum, and pot metal. You are going to break parts. Don't buy a gun you can't get parts for. Look at the parts the "hard core" IPSCs use to upgrade their guns-to them some upgrades are must haves right away such as a metal slide if you are going to use propane. Don't buy a gun that won't fit your USPSA rig. Don't buy a gun that you can't replace/adjust the sights (filing down the front sight to nub to hit poa sucks). The US airsoft retailers don't have much. Go to the asian sites and you will see a slew of aftermarket parts, from tightbore barrels, upgraded valves, springs, hammers, slides, etc. Metal parts, and beefed up other internal parts. Den Trinity, Uncompany are two such websites. Look at the links I posted and look at the parts used in some of the "custom" already upgraded TM 226s. These guys can't have real guns, and they take their airsoft seriously. Google "airsoft IPSC forum" http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/lofivers...php/t56446.html http://www.airsoftcore.com/forum/index.php?showforum=40 http://www.airsoftcore.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=50578 http://www.airsoftcore.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=49840 http://www.airsoftcore.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=49609 BE sight has everything about real guns. I wish it had a knowledge base on what to buy for airsoft so I don't have to keep learning the hard way. Koz Thanks for the reply. I'm going to take the stock route. 1) I can replace the parts as they break, if they do break. 2) I'm not spending more than I have too until I see just how much training value I get out of airsoft. Z32MadMan
You will definitely find that Marui has the most replace and upgrade parts. If something breaks you will actually be able to replace it.
