Wanted
I will be loading some home cast .45 bullets. ( ididn't cast) 230 gr. truncated Lee cast The Lyman data I was lookin at set an OAL of 1.27 Could I set it at 1.25 and start from there? Is this going to change preasures enough to worry about? The reason I ask is I have never loaded this style bullet before. It's hard to find data for this style. So using LRN or LSWC. Thanks for any help. Yes Is this going to change preasures enough to worry about? No, not unless you were right on the ragged edge of safety with your charge, and also not in a .45. But you still should start low in your powder charge and work up, because you don't know what else might be different or tricky with this bullet. Edited March 2, 2009 by ben b. Wanted
Thanks, Iv'e never loaded a cartridge longer than 1.25 and would like to stay there (if they feed right) I always start at the lowest charge I can find. I'm a little paranoid anyway. Thanks for the help.
