RickyH
What base pads sould i use on my sv 140mm and 170mm mags the 3mm or the 4mm?
Fireant
Ricky, I think the 3mm fits without having to adjust the feed lips and the 4mm works if you tweak the feed lips some. It does not matter for your short mags, since the open gauge is 170mm.
CenTX
The only way to know for sure is to check it in the USPSA mag gauge.

You can use either with the 140s since they're not going to be over 171.25 I've seen both on 170s and it'll likely depend on the exact batch of tubes yours came from since they can vary a little. boz1911
I run 7mm on my 140's and 4mm on my 170's. With the 4mm on the 170 the mag will NOT fit the gauge without mods. I work hard on the feed lips and the basepad. Gets me 30 rounds with Bolens hardware reasonably easy. Make sure you have a gauge or access to one to verify you're within specs.
