1badmagnum
I just fired some new brass in 44 magnum with 24 grains of surplus powder, and have a number of cases with minor deformations at the case mouth. does this happen on the first few firings until they are fireformed,or is this always a sign of high pressure? TBF
Please describe "deformations" . How do your primers look? Sticky extraction? Travis F.

Shipster
Is this ammo being fired out of a revolver or a Desert Eagle?
1badmagnum
desert eagle using military surplus wc820 powder,44 magnum, 24 grains under a 240 grain speer jhp.
Shipster
Since I'm not familiar with the powder your using, I'm not sure where the load falls as far as how warm the load is. I have a .357 in a desert eagle and If I don't load close to max, my cases are dented as well. I'm not sure if it because the gun isn't cycling fast enough or what. Good luck. Carlos
You are using THAT for IPSC? Can't be - you must be shooting that IDPA sport.
