The rice seems to get more of the junk off the cases while the corn cob stuff polishes better. The rice seems to last longer than the corn cob stuff. I have read that the brown rice has some oil in it that heps keep the dust down. I throw it (the mixture of rice and corn cob media) out when I start getting dust...don't want the chance of the dust containing lead.
