kimberacp
Can the M1A magazines be modified to work in AR-10 receivers? IF so, what needs to be done? Is it worth doing? thanks
titandriver
Worth doing? No. Armalite used to do the conversion but I don't believe they offer that service anymore. I picked up three new Armalite 20 rounders for $100 at the Bozeman gunshow, couldn't convert M14's that cheaply!
Derek45
During the Clinton "so-called assault waepons ban" Armalite designed there AR10 to use modified M14 mags. That ban made it a no-no to assemble mags that could hold more than 10rounds, but it expired in 2004. For now, they can make them again.
benny hill
Take a M1A 30 rd mag, cut the window in it for the mag lock & bang, you aredoing fine. It will not lock back so don't run dry.
