Uspsa 3 Gun Nationals Stages Posted

The courses of fire for the 2003 USPSA 3-Gun Nationals, to be held at PASA Park, in Barry, Illinois, are now posted on the USPSA web page. The match dates and schedule for the match are as follows:

Saturday, June 28: Registration for 3 Gun Nationals competitors & shooting of Manual Rifle Match.

Sunday, June 29: 3 Gun Nationals shooting begins.

Tuesday, July 1: 3 Gun Nationals shooting ends, shootoff, then awards/prizes in Quincy, IL.

The squad schedule will be posted shortly. This is an open entry match--you do not need a slot to enter. Entry forms can be found on the USPSA web page, and in the current issue of FRONT SIGHT.

We are planning to either allow or provide transportation between stages at this match, since some of the bays are quite spread out, and there are 3 guns involved in the match. Details on this will be provided as soon as they are available--we are currently not sure whether we can handle competitor vehicles all over the range, or if we'll have to provide a sort of "mass-transit" system, but you won't have to walk and haul all your gear.

Ammo Reminder: No steel core rifle ammo, AP, incendiary, etc. Buckshot is OK if you choose to use it, and you will be needing some slugs for your shotgun. Distances for rifle from "up close and personal" to 300 yds. We plan to chrono both rifle and pistol ammunition. There will be a sight-in and function fire range available on Saturday.

One note: Pistol Stage One, Dark House, is _not_ a surprise stage. Everyone will be given a walkthrough and allowed to tour the stage prior to shooting it. The house has not been constructed yet, so the target placement and stage procedure are still tentative. This stage is being sponsored/paid for by Surefire, and the house is currently being constructed.
